:grouphug: Aww group hug for everyone. Lulu it's harsh to have to take something you don't like, but it might just be very temporary. You never know with bank work at least you get to know new places and get a foot in the door if any permanent positions do come up. If you've got loads of reception experience could you take other positions like Drs surgery etc? Sorry i don't know too much but it sounds like you have stacks of transferrable skills and widening the job search always helps.

Dinah - I love the bridesmaid dresses! Very classy, especially the coral/red design. How exciting to be booking the wedding cars and stuff, sounds like you're getting much more into the nice details stage. I also think it must be very easy to be spendy if at home. OH and I have lost all control of the budgets recently with DIY.

We also had a few DIY disasters - we got some new double glazing fitted in the kitchen - a big window with 4 panes in and a new door. But there were two big dents in the frame so they have had to make a new one and aren't coming back to fit it until Thursday! So it's just half finished and no kitchen sink or washing machine and half the kitchen units are lying across the newly sanded floor. I am very pleased with the floor now with 2 coats of varnish and I did it all myself with the big scary machine :D

 I'm another oldie who's been having a smear since 17! Gulp, that's 10 years, and it's my birthday on Thursday - will have to stop counting soon.

ROTE so glad Amber is on the mend.

Wendz what happened with your sister?

Tink big hugs about your interview, don't worry there will be plenty more coming along too.

P.s. I forgot to say I've been on jury duty all week and I haven't been assigned a case yet. Today we got into the court and swore our oaths and then this guy mucked it up and the judge dismissed us all.

    Hi all,

No news on my sister, going to ring my Mum in a bit and see if she has any news. According to Virgin website who she is flying with they are waiting for updates before saying they are doing any flights so will prob have to wait and see. Not sure what time her flight is.

Sorry to hear the job isn't what you wanted Lulu, but like you said money is money.

Tink - sorry to hear about the job dissapointment too Tink.

We have been given permission to paint our bedroom in new flat yay so will be looking forward to that. Think I may have to start paking my sisters stuff tonight!

Your poor sister Wendz! What a nightmare, hope the move goes OK!

Jury duty sounds...fun... Lara! I don't fancy it!

I finally finished my invites tonight, feel like a weight has been lifted! A linky is on my thread :D

Does anyone have ideas of fun things to do in London and cheapish places to eat? We're staying in Russell Square and I don't think Mum will be mad keen on venturing too far from where we're staying on an evening. Ooooh, I'm so looking forward to it!
