Yay for the council giving you full pay. Hopefully you won't be off for 6 months, but atleast you don't need to worry about where money will be coming from if you are. Just take it easy and make sure you get lots of rest! Fluid build up sounds pretty nasty.

That's a relief about the pay, once again I'm hating the fact that I work for the private sector, my company stop paying after 6 weeks and then all you get is SSP!

I'm not surprised about the wait for the MRI, there's no rush nowadays! I hope NIM's looking after you so you can keep your leg elevated as much as possible!

Evening everyone!

Been a nightmare day today, think im the only one not enjoying the snow! My usual 10 minute journey to work took well over an hour. Trains cancelled, car stuck in ice rink car park, and buses running minimum service.
By the time i left work at 6pm there were no buses or trains. Still had to go or dont get paid and i cant afford that!

Dinah - hope they find out whats wrong with your knee soon!

Hoping for a monster blizzard overnight, it'll be announced on the website at 7.30 in the morning whether or not work will be open tomorrow but we've had no snow yet Been having a go on my new sewing machine tonight and managed to do a bit with my skirt, also managed to sew two different things together the wrong way around, but you live and learn!

Is there a Boyes in Billingham Tete? Need non iron sew in thick interfacing, and hes going to have to be a happy helper. I figure I ought to be able to use a sewing machine pedal with my left foot right? I mean I can manage a clutch with it!

I hope your knee gets better soon Dinah. Although think of the money saving you can do for 4 weeks (at least). You will have the wedding savings cracked by that time.

Aye thats my happy thought. Only issue is when I take the painkillers I'm a zombie for 2 hours afterwards at least, so I do tend to 'loose' my days! Going to call the other companies today, and try to finish booking my honeymoon.
