Good luck with the honeymoon booking.
Mrs Poolie is waiting to hear if she has to go in today. Yesterday it was 2 managers, 1 assistant manager and Mrs Poolie so can't see why they didn't just close for the day. Mrs Poolie said it was a very boring and quiet day.
It hasn't snowed overnight but it has frozen. I am going to have to walk to tesco for some bits before I sleep for nightshift tonight - which I will have to work from home as not going out in that.0 -
Hope you get the knee sorted out soon Dinah.
OH went out to work today. He had to walk 30 mins (prob 40 in the snow) just to get the bus. Felt very sorry for him. He was determined to go though.

Well no such luck, I wish they'de just close the uni - there's no students and no teaching staff and only about half the admin staff have made it in, surely it'd be more cost-effective to just close and turn off the electricity?
Is there a Boyes in Billingham Tete? Need non iron sew in thick interfacing, and hes going to have to be a happy helper. I figure I ought to be able to use a sewing machine pedal with my left foot right? I mean I can manage a clutch with it!
Yep there's a big one it's in the arcade bit - habby counter is upstairs. If I magaet to work my pedal in my ridiculous big slippers last night I'm sure you'll be able to manage with your left foot.
Eek, yes you'll have to hope baba doesn't make an early appearance CMD!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Hi all!
Bit of a nightmare morning for me so far, my car has died; I think it's the battery. I'm clueless with cars though so I don't know if it just needs a jump to get going again or if I need a new battery. I'm currently on the hunt for someone with jump leads who can come to my flat and have a go at getting it running again. I had to ring my boss to ask her to bring me to work which she was fine with, but I left my pass in my car so I can't even get around the offices today as it is like Fort Knox here so I'm pretty much stranded in my office! How annoying!
On top of all that I'm really tired as OH was annoying me until about midnight last night. I started off fake crying and whinging then actually ended up really crying because I was so worn out and he wouldn't leave me alone! Git. If he does it again tonight then tomorrow when I get up I'm making sure he's awake too! A jug of freezing water on his head should do the trick!

Aw Birdie, cheer up luv!! I'm sure the car will be fine after a jump - how old is the battery? If it keeps happening though you might want to think about getting a new one. Enjoy your toastWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Batterys last about 2-3 years Birdie, so if you don't know when yours was last replaced, its probably about time for a new one. You sound so blue today love, try to have a relaxing night. xDebt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I replaced my battery last December and it was the original Nissan one that came with the car in 1995 ...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Any idea how much car batteries cost? Please don't say a lot!
Still no luck with finding a kind soul with jump leads! I might just have to get my Dad to come round tonight but I feel guilty making him drive 20 miles on the crummy roads in his useless-in-the-snow car so he'll be my last resort. I think my friend's Dad has an auto-electric business so I've text her to ask if he can help me out but she's busy at work so I probably won't hear from her until later.

Mine was £40 I think. Can't believe you're having such trouble finding jump leads, I thought pretty much everyone had a set?
Ooh who made the cupcakes? I was thinking of doing a bit of baking tonight but I feel I'm on a bit of a roll with my skirt so going to continue with that I thinkWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0
