I've had a verrry spendy weekend so far and I think its only going to get worse! Went out yesterday, then another birthday so drinks, petrol and champagne, and just all sorts spendywise and we had a takeaway yesterday for the journey so hmmm may have to see where I can get some money in the budget loosened from... or I need to get my !!! on dooyoo even more!
Need to pay for my new lacrosse kit this week too! Nightmare!!0 -
Sorry to hear of your news Lara, hope you're keeping ok xx
Thanks again to everyone who suggested Amazon to me! I'm a complete convert! I have sold 11 dvd's so far (which i know doesnt sound like much!) but i've made £47! Lol seeing as MusicMagpie quoted me £108 for 130 odd dvds, i'm over the moon!!! :j
I've lost the charger for my digi cam, so was annoyed that i couldnt list anything on ebay... after about 4 days of moaning about it, i've just realised that my mum bought one for her holiday a few months back, so i can just borrow hers0 -
Do you think everyone's... working?! :eek:Good Lord no, it's more likely that everyone's been hit by a bus!
:rotfl: Haha - thanks very much! Ugh I hate it when work's busy, I miss all the news! From what I remember:
Birdie - lovely idea with the STDs and invites - are they just for the people invited to the Dominican though, might be a bit like rubbing their nose in it if they're only invited to the party in rainy Yorkshire?
Cinny - exciting about the car, having one waiting for you def gives you incentive to learn faster, is Greg the Clio? Black?
Dinah - I'm a little bit confused really about how things stand with the house, sounds like a lot could still happen for it to fall through. What if the survey throws something up, I guess you'd lower your offer? Keeping my fingers crossed for you anyway.
Lulu - well done on all the sales, sounds like you're making a killing!
CMD - Glad all seems well with the baby, could it not be that baby has grown but bump hasn't? Has it eaten the placenta?! (loving the old-school smilies!)
Lara - So sorry to hear that news, I hope you're ok. Always sad when anyone dies, especially if they're young, ans especially as he was on the brink of such a big adventureMakes you really appreciate what you have and feel bad for bleating over the niggly things.
I'm well despite the MSE-absenteeism, work is totally manic though and I feel like I'm being pulled in all directions a bit, I was quite down about it last week, but feeling better that it's only a two-day week this week then I've got a long-weekend of birthday and Valentine loveliness, can't wait. Hope everyone is ok xxWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

I would hope to have as natural a birth as possible but I will go in with a very open mind
CMD - This is exactly the correct mind set you should have. Just go with the flow listen to the experts but more importantly listen to your own body. Personally I am not very good at having babies, I even had morning sickness before I was late with my period. One of my sisters delivers in about two hours without even a paracetamol (sp?). I was there when she had her third and the only thing she said was "oh it stings" that was it.Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳
😁Debt Free and you can do it too0 -
Lol I'd be the opposite end of the scale 'sod the natural birth, give me everytihng you've damn well got!'. I didn't go natural to experience my appendix coming out, and I'm not about to go natural for anything else that could hurt!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

You might change your mind when you go to antenatal classes and see the effect all the drugs can have on the baby.
Don't get me wrong - if I have to take stuff I will but there are repurcussions to babies, being very drugged and that interfering with breastfeeding and bonding etc.
As I said, I will go in with an open mind, but I would prefer to have my baby as alert as possible.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I think some women just have a high pain threshold. I don't think I do - I am a wimp when it comes to period pains. However, any midwife will tell you that it is far better to go as natural as possible, for as long as possible. It just depends on how the labour goes and how the baby is positioned.
If you go in with a negative attitude then it makes sense you are more likely to need interventions. I just hope my birth is fairly straightforward but unfortunately everyone is different, I am just hoping for the bestTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

The morning sickness is a killer isn't it? I had it from 6 weeks til about 17 weeks. Luckily since it went I have been feeling really well. I thought the sickness would never end though!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
