:T Well done on treating yourself to the charm IF, you deserve it with all the effort you're putting in. Is it £1.99 including postage?

Sorry to hear about rip off at WW. If I were you I'd still go during next month as you've paid but do blast them!! I think, like gyms, they must make a fortune drom lapsed members. Pity about the dancing too. You certainly deserved something to cheer you up.

I think banking that money is a great idea for adding to your savings pot. I should keep it very quiet though as I'm still confused with how your OH gets £200 to himself when you are paying for petrol, food etc etc I'm cocerned that if he knows you've got money put to one side he'll be even less likely to pay his way come Christmas or whatever.

Sorry if I'm being a bit bossy.
  • To cut a long story short the only thing my DH and I ever argue about is money (or lack of it). £200 is the amount that I said I could afford to put in his bank account without it compromising our everyday / kids / household stuff etc... however when interest rates rise he may have to re-think this. However if he runs out it's his problem, not mine, I will not sub him when I have had £60 less than he has for 'everything else'

Money spent since last update: ZILCH!! A rare no-spend day

    Petrol Budget: £110.00 / £55.00 remaining
    Everything else budget: £147.00 / £37.75 remaining

The charms I ordered off e-bay on Sunday night arrived and fit my bracelet perfectly so I shall be purchasing further from that seller! I definitely need some more silver now as it's overrun by red :-)

One poll - three more surveys at 10p each taking me to £6.10 now!

Mystery shopping - nowt that I fancy doing. I did notice my due wages on 10th Feb had gone down, so it looks like the money that was scheduled to pay yesterday has gone after all.

I've not been feeling very well today, I think I've got a tummy bug (bleurk). It's alright at some times and then others......BLEURK.

DH starts at college today. Although the course is officially two years apparently you can do it in one if you put the work in, and he was hoping to do it in one. I had to break it to him I couldn't afford £1000 for him to complete it in a year!!!

Why can't OH contribute to his course from his money if he wants to do it in a year? Or at least do the overtime to cover it?

    a) because he wont.
    b) because they don't do overtime.

God, I am so mad with myself, I did my first impulse buy today. I wanted to go to Dorothy Perkins to see if the Quidco cash in store thing worked, so I intended on spending £3 on a pair of tights or something to see if it tracked. Unfortunately I saw the most lovely pair of shoes and simply had to have them. Bish bash bosh all thoughts of moneysaving disappeared and out came the debit card. "I'll pay for them with my savings" I told myself - but no, I'm taking it on the chin and am paying for it out of 'everything else money' so I'm well skint now!!!

The same defiant me also bought a sausage roll because I wanted one! Mind you, it tasted delicious and I appreciated it more knowing I hadn't bought a lunch out for ages.

One poll - some more surveys, balance is £6.65.

No mystery shopping that I fancy doing, but I did a chemists visit

Oh well £15 is not too excessive and its real life you are bound to want little treats now and then when you go out and work all the time, its just about budgetting and you are being very good and not dipping into savings - so no judgement here!
I am still at the stage where I daren't even set foot in a shop because I just don't think I trust myself :o
