Well done IF, you deserve a bit of a treat. I think if you become too frugal you can get so disheartened you give up. Perhaps you could build in a treat (at least a charm) every month.
What sort of bracelet is it? Is it like Pandora/Trollbeads?0 -

Yes, it is similar to Pandora (well, the bracelet bit looks like same) but cheaper!!!! It came with five charms and they're so nice!Start Date: 27/11/2010

DOH! Went to print off my mystery shop for today's visit only to discover they're not open weekends!!! So I've rebooked it for Monday and will finish work an hour earlier and do it then. However I did manage to get - what looks like someone elses cast offs - a sandwich shop (HOORAY!!!!!) which could only be done this weekend. I'm secretly glad I don't have to do the first shop today as it's a boring one (Yawn) with a freebie that's only any good when you're ill. There was also a boat load of telephone calls that had been posted that I could have done however as soon as I confirmed the sandwich shop visit the phone calls all disappeared so I don't know if because I am new, that I am able to only have a couple of shops on the go?
Two more surveys on One Poll so balance is now £5.55.
DS2 came home from football yesterday evening brandishing ANOTHER birthday invitation for 7th Feb (which is also DH's birthday) so yet another present to shell out for in this pay period BOO HOO. (OH NO and just realised it means another visit to card shop hell)
I had to go and pick DS1 up from school yesterday so he didn't have to pay bus fare home so that's gone in my £365 tin. DH gave DS1 some money at school tomorrow to buy a drink (and he didn't) so he gave the money back to me and I forgot to give it back to DH so that 40p has gone towards Xmas, along with 18p in change in my purse. So 'm in another pound bracket now (£32.01) - that's the cost of a Wii game.
I might also have to do DS1's paper round tomorrow as both kids have to meet at 9:15am for their football games, and his papers aren't ready for 9am so he wont be able to do it (that's where I come in handy) however we have an agreement whereby if I do it I get to keep the money (£4). Usually I just feel too guilty to keep it and give it to him anyway, but times are hard this month!
Have to go shopping today so am aiming to keep it at under £25 although I do need more than I thought I did - GRRRRR.
I have a nice night out planned for tonight which my mum has kindly paid for, which is Erin Boag & Anton Du Beke (Strictly Come Dancing) show called Steppin' Out. It was part of my Xmas Present so I'm looking forward to that.
So - plans for today
1. Go to F&V Market
2. Go to Morrisons
3. Go do Mystery shop.
4. Go to birthday card shop and get ANOTHER 7th birthday card.
5. Write Mystery Shopping report after eating mystery shopping evidence.
6. Find ANOTHER 7th birthday present.
7. Get ready to go out.
8. Get all footy kits ready for tomorrow.Start Date: 27/11/2010
Padding: Day 42
Target £8000

As suspected had too much money in my 'kids activities purse' - how does that happen??? Still, too much is better than too little!
Went to Morrisons and spent more than I should have done. Didn't even get any whoopsies in that harrrrrumph!
ps - Only bought the newspaper as there's a free Make-up kit on offer from Superdrug with four tokens. Mum & Dad bought the paper last week so I only have to buy three of them.Start Date: 27/11/2010

Morning all!
GRRRRR - not happy! I was scheduled a payment from the mystery shopping company for today, it wasn't much just £4 fee and £3 reimbursement, and it had been showing as due for today for ages, and then this morning I logged onto internet banking - no payment received - so went to the MS website only to see they'd, with no explanation, moved it to the next pay day which isn't until 10th Feb! I did the shop on 11th Jan so there's no good reason for them to do this. I've e-mailed them, but I'm not happy. It might sound sad, but I was really looking forward to moving the fee over to my £365 account.
And I forgot to add £3 to my Saturday outgoings for the MS sandwich so this is a note to myself to do it tonight.Start Date: 27/11/2010

That same company owes me £101. Like you I completed an assignment on 31st December and as there site was shut until 4th Jan could not submit til then. and am still waiting payment for that plus another i completed on 10th Jan for £50!!
Grrrrr!! Really not happy.
It was showing yesterday as payment due today!!!
Have emailed like you and will try to ring as well, if I can get through!!0 -
For God's sake, the world and his wife seems to be intent on ripping me off today!
Okay - picture the scenario. You are a member of weightwatchers, you go to the class, you pay £5 per week (or whatever) and then you decide you don't want to go anymore, so you just don't go back. You don't owe anyone any money.
However when you are a member of the monthly pass, you go for one week and sign up which costs £17.95. You don't pay for your first week as your DD is your payment. Anyway I have decided I want to cancel but unfortunately my DD came out last Thursday (I think) and my new monthly pass which came today is valid until 2nd March. So I cancelled on Friday however when I have rang WW they said it's just tough luck, and I don't get a refund 'although I can still go to class until 2nd March'. Why the hell should I be penalised? I'm so mad. I tell you, if I ever go back to WW I certainly wont be taking advantage of their monthly pass where it's basically cost me more than it would have done if I'd have been going to class and paying weekly. In fact - I am going to write them a strongly worded e-mail of complaint!Start Date: 27/11/2010

Days to payday: 21
Money in bank : £220.58 + £107.91
Money in purse: £18.80
Grand Total: £239.38 + 107.91
Money spent since last update: £6.64
£3.00 - scarf from primark
£1.50 - tea fund
£0.15 - pennies moved to £365 jar
£1.99 - charm for my new bracelet off e-bay. I thought I would risk it and see if I could buy generic charms for my bracelet rather than having to pay £3.50 from the shop, so these are my guinea pigs
Grocery budget: £280.00 / £146.63 remaining
Petrol Budget: £110.00 / £55.00 remaining
Everything else budget: £147.00 / £37.75 remaining
Got around to ringing Sky. When I cancelled in December, due to the time of the month I had to make December's payment of £37.50 but they said I would be due a rebate in January of £7.50. That didn't materialise so I have chased them up now, and it's just sat there, so they have arranged for it to be refunded to my bank account. When that happens it will go in my £365 tin.
I also phoned the mystery shopping company and she reckoned that it was a system glitch and I would receive my money as normal by Friday. I cancelled today's mystery shop but rescheduled it for wednesday, not because of what happened, just because Wednesdays aren't so much of a rush for me.
As you can see from the above, I bought myself a scarf from primark. It's a 'wear all day' one rather than a warm one, I only have one scarf as they're something I have never really worn, but I like how they hide a multitude of sins (plus keep my neck warm LOL) so I got another. I saw loads in New Look that I ADORED but I went for the £2 cheaper ones at Primark. I haven't counted it as clothes, it's accessories innit.
One Poll balance is now £5.80. I love doing their surveys, they're usually reallyquick and interesting.
My mum has given me two pairs of shoes that she bought last year to try and sell on e-bay..I don't know how much to ask. They're leather Mary Jane's with a small heel and cost £40 per pair. They're too big for her though although she's worn them a couple of times and they are still in the box with the tissue paper, soles don't look worn etc..
I was working out earlier on that if I put money to one side every month for kids activities (Like I already do) but then put the un-used money aside (like I have been doing) I would save (in a 12 month period): £65 on DS1 not having to get the bus home, £36 on football subs, when the club breaks up for the summer, and £94.25 on school dinners! This is £195.25 alone. I should therefore have loads of money saved up for Xmas. Hooray for snowballing.
PS - Anton & Erin wasn't very good I'm afraid. I didn't feel there was enough of them on stage. It would be A&E dancing for a couple of minutes, then a singer would do a number, then another pair of dancers would come on for a couple of minutes, then the orchestra would do a number. Both the orchestra and the singer's turns were longer than the dancing,l so I found it quite dull (apart from the dancers of which there weren't enough). I'm glad I didn't pay for it as I don't think it was worth £36 per ticket! It also finished ten minutes earlier than scheduled, so I felt well and truly ripped off. First half was 45 minutes, and second half was 55 minutes.Start Date: 27/11/2010
