So yesterday evening I cooked Jamie's chicken legs with sweet tomatoes - Jamie's Dinners, page 222 Everyone else loved it (one guest took away the recipe
); I quite liked it, but I have more exciting chicken recipes. It is a good way to use up the glut of HG tomatoes, though, and green toms work well :T

For pudding I adapted a Nigel Slater recipe for trifle, using items from the freezer. I broke HM muffins into cups, covered with HG plums stewed with a little suger. I topped this with HM custard and whipped cream. DD decoarted them with a Retro Feel :T They went down well, but I'm not a huge trifle fan, so won;t be repeated in a hurry.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0

Well I was going to try a chicken dish today but was up all night being sick for some reason, so the last thing on my mind just now is food.
However I've found a recipe in an old American cookery book (Joy Of Cooking) which is definitely on the cards a soon as I'm up to cooking and eating. The recipe is called Stuffed Chicken Breasts. I shall make some modifications. Instead of all that butter I shall be using olive oil.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
