  • Morning EE, to the fod shop, but at least you have got it sorted.

Look forward to you popping in everyday for a daily update, I find the only way to keep on track (sort of) is to have a diary, it seems to keep me more organised.

    Have a good day.

Have been to work today, took my own lunch and then had to catch the bus home as DH had my car as his truck is faulty and it is a bit tempremental at the moment

I withdrew £10 from the cash machine today and already had £1.90 on me.

    I have spent:
    £2.80 bus fare
£8.00 2 trays of eggs (our chickens are not laying and I have orders - I will be £2 up at the end (not counting the feed my chickens have!!)
£1.10 half pint of coke at meeting I went to tonight.

So that is all my cash gone.

Out of the shopping budget of £317.48 for this month I have spent £2.59 on 2 bottles of squash and 1 litre of soya milk.

    Shopping £2.59/£317.48.

DH also got petrol for me - not sure how much that was as receipt in car - will add tomorrow.
I allow £200 for petrol a month and that is normally enough.
I mentioned to DH about paying for 1 lot of petrol per month which he agreed to and then said what about the truck - well as we claim some of the petrol back from the business I don't see why I should have to pay.
We should only use the truck to collect the bread from the bakers (once a week) and carry the water containers (twice a week) and 1 tank should last nearly 4 weeks but DH likes to use it for loads of journeys up to the field even when he could walk but don't get me started on that one :rotfl::eek:

As far as I know DH has not spent anything as I have his card :rotfl:

That did not stop hm the other night when he brought something off ebay and paid for it by Paypal - I checked how he had paid for it and he had paid on a debit card (not sure which one, possibly his business account which he needs to close). I asked him about it and he was adamant that he had spent it out of Paypal funds , I told him he had not and he apologised .

Now I am not sure if this is just him not paying attention or whether he does it on purpose like picking up 3 cat collars and then saying he thought he only had 2 (not just a co-incidence that we have 3 cats and DH is a sucker for all things new )
  • the situation you had at the supermarket has happened to me so many times :o it is so embarrassing each and every time though. This last time i went shopping i had to ask the cashier to stop at £40 :o luckily it came in under that amount so i didn't have to put any back lol!

Sounds like dh is still struggling with cutting back! You should give him a cash allowance lol and then he can't overspend if he has no cards and not enough money :p

Work again today, no temptation to spend money otherwise I have to confess all on here :rotfl:

Withdrew £10 from food budget and spent £7.50 at the market on fruit and veg.

    Shopping £10.09/£317.48.

So I have £2.50 in my purse for food.

I also sold some eggs today so I have £7 from that but this is likely to go tomorrow as DD has a school trip which I need to pay for.

Not sure on the petrol still, DH could not get a receipt as he used self serve and the paper had run out and it is not showing on my bank account at the moment.

Had some things come out of my account yesterday and today which is:

    Lottery £16
    Overdraft Fees £14
    Unarranged OD Fees £10

I was over my limit for 2 days . Must keep a closer eye on things.

Payday should be Friday but we usually get it on Thursday :T

DH did not have acupuncture, it is tomorrow instead.
Have bought some glow plugs for his truck as we think this is why it does not always start - DH will try to fix them himself :T

Today was my day off so met up with my friend for lunch - it was her turn to pay so no money spent :j

This morning I cleaned the fridge of one of the fridge freezers, need to do the other 2 before I go shopping  - I hate manky shelves :rotfl:

I haven't spent any of my own money today :T

DH has had acupuncture which cost £40 plus I put £20 of diesel in out of his account - usually fill it up but the place I was passing today is expensive so just put a little bit in.

Popped to Tesco for soya milk and they are out of stock , they were out last week and the week before - wonder if they are changing supplier or something.

Stocked up on squash - £12.50 spent  This was for about 9 bottles of squash which will last about 2 weeks

We don't tend to drink tea/coffee much but we all drink shed loads of squash.

The gardener has been to trim the hedges and other stuff - he charged £40. Relative was going to pay but I made all the right noises for him not to and normally he does anyway but this time he said take it out of the food shopping money I give you

Well I don't see why DH and I should have to pay for the hedge trimming when it is part of our tenancy to keep it trimmed and relative is on the tenancy so I will just make sure the food shop comes in at £260 instead of £300 :rotfl:

Food Shopping £22.59/£277.48 (changed from £317.48)

Forgot to say yesterday that I paid DD's school trip - £15.50
so that was £7 from selling eggs and £8.50 which was lying around the house.

DH has got some shopping today and it is on my card so I will need to transfer that back to me - £5.90 which is 10 cartons of soya milk to last me to month end.

Also spent £4.28 on cat food but this has to come from me and DH.

We have a BBQ on Sunday for DH's nephew (21) who I have never met (12 years together) and DH has not seen for years either. (he is the one who the other month admitted that his dad - my DH's step brother had abused him and of course he had also abused my DH s this will be interesting)
We have spoken to his mum and he is into fashion so went to Debenhams today with my trusty £10 Love2Shop voucher.

Managed to get a Red Herring watch reduced from £30 to £9 and a Red Herring wallet for £15 so total of £24 less my voucher leaves £14 to pay which I paid on DH's card but will need to divvy it up properly as we both need to contribute.

Hopefully it will look like an expensive present :rotfl:

Don't think anything has left my bank account but have not checked, will do that tomorrow.

At work today and been a bit spendy

Popped to Card Factory for card and wrapping paper for birthday party on Sunday, [STRIKE]will find receipt tomorrow.[/STRIKE] have found receipt it was £2.27 and also got card for DS's half brother who is 1 next week - will make sure I get the 29p back :rotfl:

Went back to work and realised that DS has a party tomorrow so popped back to CF and got 5 cards for £1 so will do for some other birthdays coming up as well.

DH has spent some of his money - he needed a tool so he could get his glow plugs out as they need replacing and we are trying to do it on the cheap :rotfl:. Will check his receipt tomorrow.

DH also had to go to B&Q to get sand and cement and plaster board for our other house, I said I would pay as it is basically my house and gave him my bank card.
Found the receipt and he has spent £20.54  and put it on his trade point card which is like a credit card
He said he did it as he needed a tool for the cementing and that will come out of his £20 spends and he did not want to pay twice so just shoved it on the card.

God I could kill him - he is obsessed with credit :mad:

Saved money on bus fare as manager gave me a lift home as DH had my car. :T

Too many late nights make EE a tired elephant :rotfl:

Was in bed just after 9 last night.

Yesterday was a bit spendy but all ok as they all have seperate budgets.

Went to the animal feed shop and spent £107.42 - this was £77.75 on chicken feed and £29.67 on cat food. This account had £110 in so that is it for the month.

Popped to the local hardware shop which is like an Aladdins Cave, it's a complete mess but the owner knows where everything is :rotfl:. Spent £9.40 there on builders sand and strimmer wire.

DH had a party so had to withdraw £10 to give to his friend.

In the afternoon I went to Lidl to see if my monthly shop would be cheaper there. I told everyone I was going by myself, DH and DD were fine as they were building a brick wall. Relative did not take the hint and wanted to come so he could get money out, he only owes £30 to the food account and as there was already £200 in there it didnt matter

So Lidl was fine but I did not realise I had a small trolley so had to go round twice . My first trolley full was only £59.26 and my second was £64.04, I am really pleased as normally I would spend about £200.
I will have to go out mid month for fruit etc but hopefully I can keep within my low budget.

Relative went round with a basket buying all the things which I had on my list . Not sure why he does it but I am not counting what he spends as we don't need it. He got 1 bag of shopping which came to £24
The end result was that when we got home there was not much room for the stuff he had brought as I had filled the cupboards with the monthly shop

Had to pop to Tesco for Organic milk but they were out of stock, will have to go back. But they did have cherry tomatoes and fajita spice mix plus I had to get some drink to take with us today as we have a BBQ. Spent £29.43.

    Food £175.32/£277.48

Up there somewhere I said that DH has not seen his nephew for at least 12 years but we have worked it out and it is 17 years  so today is going to be a mega family reunion.
  • Well done on the mega lidl shop, love the food from there and the amount you can buy compared to Mr T.

Sending you hugs for today, hope the family reunion goes ok.

Thanks PWPS - I am a bit nervous - I must be on my best behaviour!!!

Just remembered (well I did'nt really I found the receipt which proves I went there :rotfl:) I went to Poundland on Friday - some websites and newspapers have been raving about this micro fibre hair wrap that is supposed to be good for frizzy hair and dries the hair quicker, well we don't have frizzy hair but I wanted to jump on the bandwagon and see what it was all about :rotfl: so I got 2 of those and a big pack of choc buttons so spent £3.

I have used the hair wrap on DD but didn't notice a difference apart from using a button to hold it in place so it stays put unlike the towel turban which when you bend down falls off.

I will wash my hair and report back sometime
