Thanks guys, sorry not to have been back.

DH is much better but that is normally because he has pushed it to the back of his mind - I expect when we see the family again he will get really down.

I'm not going to do anymore about it until I hear some more from their side.

Things have been a bit up and down all week.

Weds was good, met my friend for lunch which was lovely.
Did my food shop in the morning with DH, normally we have it delivered but we had popped into Tesco at the weekend and I got 2 till spits which were £10 off an £80 spend and £6 off a £40 spend so thought I had better use them.
So did the shopping and when the balance got over £80 I asked the cashier to stop so I could pay with my voucher so that was £10 off. Then another till spit came out for £6 off a £40 spend :T. So I split the remaining shopping over 2 loads and got my money off :T. I made sure we stuck to the list although DH managed to smuggle some things in
Luckily I knew the lady as I used to work there and we had a laugh about it.

Went to work Thurs and everything was ok until DH emailed me to say he was stressed out - I rung him. He was trying to connect up a wireless printer which I had said we did not need and we had lost the wireless connection
Relative brought his son a printer for his birthday and instead of having it delivered to him he ticked the wrong address thingy so it came here. Son could not get over to collect it so relative offered to buy another one and get it sent properly.
He asked me what I thought and I said that I had a perfectly good printer and until it died I would not use the wireless.
This of course means just set it up
So now relative has a massive wireless printer in his room (which is tiny) and he is using it. I refuse to and have told the children not to either as it was a waste of money and I am not printing my confidential stuff downstairs. By the way he does have one of his own that sat on his computer desk but that has been out away.
So now he has to print something downstairs and if it is needed upstairs then he has to walk back up with it , he has COPD so it's not like he is fit and active.

This then led on to an argument with DH as I had told him at lunchtime to leave it and we would sort it another day as I knew when he gets stressed he gets a headache and then ids really ill. No he carried on and when I got home he was trying to sort a fault on relatives computer which was not necessary

So I refused to take him to the garage on Friday to get his truck fixed and then on the way to work on Friday some twit hit me when I was in stationary traffic :mad::eek::mad:
The man says his foot slipped off the clutch . He does not want to go through insurance and will pay for the re-spray which I am fine with but I have notified my insurance company anyway.
I was sent home from work because my back was hurting and it has been aching all weekend - if I am standing it is fine but when I sit it hurts - I am not claiming personal injury as I'm not that badly injured and I told the guy that providing he pays for the damage then I won't claim personal injury.

The weekend has been good - we have done some stuff at the other house and taken down a shed and then we can have a sort out of everything :T

DH has got his CRB check back so hopefully he will be ale to start asap, he is going in today to see his new place as the current guy leaves tomorrow.

DH might also have a temp role doing some data input but they wanted someone full time for up to 4 weeks but if DH starts his new job he could only do 2 days a week so will have to wait to see -also this is vaguely connected to his old place of work so not sure if he will be allowed as he has a grievance in against them
But if it works out then it will be some extra money in the bank :T
  • glad to see there are some positives in there :) sorry about the accident and your back hope it's better now! I still have major problems with my neck & shoulders from a car accident i had 13 years ago (which also wasn't my fault!!) xx

What a busy week it has been :rotfl:

Back still playing up slightly - much better if I walk so DD and I have been trying to walk about 2.5 miles as often as possible.

Guy who hit me is willing to pay for the damage and will pay the garage before I have it done.

Noticed on Tues that everytime I went over a bump there was a clunking noise, did some investigations and my suspension coil has broken in 2 .
Rung garage, it is ok to drive as it is the rear but have that booked in for Tues.

Plus DH's truck is booked in for an MOT today but not sure where that money is coming from

DH has been working on and off last week doing some training - he officially starts today for 10 hrs per week and the extra 12 hours will be from June. Should be able to do this data entry job for some days each week although he has been shadowing people which takes up some of his spare days.
Not sure how much he will be paid and not even sure if they pay at the end of every month - DH will find out today.

I have 2 poorly cats :(, both have colds, snuffles etc - took them to the vet and they have cat flu
    Cost £77 including antibiotics
Just waiting to see if the rest get it now

Have not checked my bank account or brought in the spreadsheet up to date for ages - I do know though that I .
    am skint
Will have to do this and see what I have paid for instead of DH.

Have not really heard from DH's creditors, one has rung and we spoke to them to confirm a letter has been sent. The rest there has been no contact so hopefully this week we should get a letter in the post.

Think that is it for now but will let you know later:rotfl:

    Another busy few weeks

Have not been on much - am trying to do the Swagbucks challenge and ordered a £5 Amazon voucher last week and another one this week so should help towards Xmas presents :T especially as DH also has an account and I am hoping he will earn the same as me :rotfl:

if you want to know more let me know.

Still not sorted my spreadsheets or budget out, I have missed my barclaycard payment each month so I am running a month behind but I should catch up this time as DH's bank account is sorted :T

Dh got paid yesterday from his new job and his old job :j.
Very pleased with new job as they did not send the form for bank details until Thurs last week, DH took them in on Mon this week and they paid him yesterday - it's not much for 2 weeks @ 10 hours but every little helps.

Bit of drama with old job as they have paid into his old account which is overdrawn and which at the end of last month I wrote to to say about financial difficulty . Couldnt access his online account last week and then a letter arrived to say they had terminated his account
So typed letter for first right of appropriation and went into the branch, they let us use their phones to ring the correct department and he agreed that we could withdraw the wages the next day but we would need to ring in once the mony hit the account. So we duly did this and lo and behold they let us take the money out.
They were so helpful and I am so grateful for it as it was quite a bit of money :T

Account should run itself now so will set up the standing orders for everything and decide how much DH can have for spending money - already had £37.50 as needed work trousers (jeans not allowed and suit trousers too smart) but used some M & S vouchers I had from Daily Mail rewards which brought it down to £37.50.

Most of DH's creditors have accepted £1pm which is brilliant :T, paid them last month and need to send a payment for end of the month so will review this in a few months once we know where DH is in terms of money etc.

I feel better knowing DH does not have a credit card to spend on :rotfl:

DH's truck went to garage, all ok - had MOT.
My car went in the next day for a coil. Hav now had the bill for this, only £91 so will pay that next week.

Also need a new tyre so am going to get that shortly.

My car will have it's bumper sorted next month so hopefully the guy that hit me will pay this.

Cats are now better, the other cat got it but we used the same medication so it did not cost us anything :rotfl:. Surprising how quiet they are when they can't miaow but they are sure making up for it now :D

Think that is it, although me and DS have now got hayfever, I can't believe it was in the papers about people getting it late because of the weather and within a few days I have all the signs - will be going to stock up today :T
  • Morning EE, I'm really pleased that things seem to sorting themselves out, your post sounds much happier than previous ones, hope things continue on the up.

Hope the hayfever gets better, something i've never suffered from, but a friends son suffers terrible and it seems a horrible allergy to have.
Take care and keep your chin up:D, your doing a fantastic job.

Thanks guys for your support :T

Sorry this is a rant :eek::mad::eek::mad:

And for a change it is not DH :rotfl:

As you know Relative lives with us and when he goes to town for appt's he often stocks up on sweets and biscuits (we don't normally have much in). I knew that sometimes he gave the kids a small bag of sweets and I was fine with that.

At the last dentist appt they told DD not to eat so many sweets so I relayed this to relative who agreed but alas he carried on

DD has gone to bed with nothing and in the morning her bedroom has been awash with sweet wrappers. Turns out that he has been buying multipacks of sweets and really large bags of Haribo and giving them to her in secret :mad::eek::mad: (i assume he has told her not to tell me otherwise why would she take them to her room and not into the lounge:eek::mad::eek:)

I again asked him not to but he acts stupid and pretends he has not done anything.

So the other day both kids had dentist appt's and guess what :mad::eek::mad:

    DD needs a filling :mad::eek::mad:

!!!!!! she is 9 and should not need a filling at that age :mad::eek::mad::eek:

Can you tell how angry I am?:rotfl:

So I told everyone in no uncertain terms that there will be no chocolate, biscuits or sweets eaten by the kids and certainly not in the house.

Relative tried to laugh it off but I made it clear that I am narked about this.

DH tried to placate by saying that it will be fine and has told DD that it will not hurt . I have explained quite clearly that it will, the dentist said she should be ok without an injection but I doubt it.
So DD is 100% aware of how much this will hurt and surprise surprise she has not eaten any sweets or choc since then.

And to top it all I am going to pay privately for it :mad::eek::mad:

I cannot bear the thought I my DD at 9 with a grey filling and also when she is older she might moan that she has a grey one so being as vain as I am I am paying for a white one :rotfl:
I told the dentist I was vain but I don't care. (I had to have my 3rd filling the other month and went privately so it could be white - cost me £70  but at least my teeth look great :rotfl:)

    :mad::eek::mad::eek::mad::eek::mad::eek:

I will be back with a money update tonight - hopefully good news:rotfl:

That would make me rant too!

I know exactly how you feel, spending time making sure the kids have decent teeth and having someone with good intentions rotting their teeth

I agree with sorting out white fillings, at least she'll still have an immaculate smile and it seems like the message has got home and she'll know to clean her teeth thoroughly after eating sweets in the future.

Didn't quite make it back that night :rotfl:

3 weeks late is not too bad :rotfl:

Just had so much going on and then when the money was out of control i could not face the update as I knew it was bad.

But today I have seized control and sorted all the spreadsheets out :T

The cause of this is because yesterday we overspent in Morrisons and the card that I wanted to pay on only had £25 on and my own bank card had been left at home . Ended up putting things back - DH had got 2 cat flea collars which was actually 3  so that brought it down enough to be able to pay :T
So embarrassing - never had that happen to me before :eek::mad:

So I have done all the spreadsheets and I have paid double into the grocery budget this month as I put £100 in to the food account and then paid for groceries on my bank card

So I logged on to the food account to see where the money had gone this month and found £131 sitting there :rotfl:

Have now transferred the money back to me for what I had spent and also to the child care account from what we spent yesterday.

I am so annoyed as if I had kept up with everything I would not have had the embarassment of yesterday.

Nothing has worked out for me this month - I am still 1 month behind on my Barclaycard account and also I have not paid my car bill :mad::eek:

I have brought the children some clothes which was just under £100

I am so fed up of paying for everything and yesterday I mentioned it to DH and he started on his downer about how he is failing to provide for us etc :(

This month should be better as he has 22 hours due to be paid every week plus all the extra hours he did the month beforehand :j

I am hoping this is enough to cover his basic bills plus £150 due to the solicitor for advice DH got about taking his employer to Tribunal - not sure why he booked in knowing he had to pay

Also have oil still to pay for - we have had a court letter so I have asked for time until 27/6 to pay it - not sure where that will come from

Have decided that I will check all accounts once a day and also do an update on here once a day.

I need this to keep me on the straight and narrow.

I have been spending time on Swagbucks to try and earn Amazon vouchers - they have come in handy as we have managed to buy parts to fix the ride on mower which the rats have chewed to death :eek::mad:

The one thing my spreadsheets has shown is that I need a spending diary which I will log on here as there were a lot of unaccounted cash withdrawals - if I had updated at the time I would have known where the money went.

Also I am now getting CSA which is about £250 a month which has really helped this month and I am thinking about putting it aside for clothes, days out and xmas for the children otherwise it will get spent and then xmas will go on the credit cards like it has done for the last x years

Right I think that was a stern talking to -- hopefully it will work!!!

    Hi EE,

Nice to have you back :) I haven't been in the position of overspending at the supermarket without the money there but i have had to add up the cost of the shopping about 5 times before loading it onto the counter and then stood there feeling very sick hoping my sums were right _pale_ :o You've figured out what went wrong and how to fix it so well done :T

Having been shocked at how expensive the food shop was today :eek: and generally how money just seems to be disappearing on me of late i'm going to start a spending diary as of tomorrow - hoping this will help with some NSDs which i won't count household bills for such as gas, electric, mortgage etc. But i will count food shopping as a spend day.
