  • Thanks for all your support ladies.

He is still in the secure unit, next review is Tuesday...he thinks he's in for Xmas but I hope they let him out next week as its getting harder to keep pretending he is just ill.

He was allowed out of the unit yesterday so I took him for coffee to a supermarket cafe...it was awful, I've never been so stressed and also I cried a lot.

I think its especially hard at this time of year....
  • Oh dear someone else's mental health is such a hard burden to bear. Remember though that it's not your burden, although you may feel like it is sometimes.

STBEX has to be helped by the doctors and by himself. You are being incredibly supportive, but none of this is your fault, so don't give so much support that it effects your own mental health.

I know how stressful and emotional this situation must be for you, so take time to do things for yourself to de-stress.

And yes, Christmas does always make everything seem worse I'm afraid. But things will get better eventually.

So sorry to read your latest news - just dire. He is lucky you're there to support him as he doesn't deserve it.

Don't worry about the debt that can be sorted when all this blows over. The main thing is to make sure you and DD are ok.

You're so helpful to others on their diaries, time to look out for yourself for a while xx

Please don't be too helpful at the hospital. A friend of mine was & landed up doing 24 hour a day suicide watch at home with her for 4 weeks until his children turned up & put their foot down. They will let you take responsibility if you let them, unfortunately this is not the NHS we used to know.
  • Hope everything is ok EE xx
