Sorry to hear your news EE, you're a better person than me in still being of help to your ex, I don't think I could do that. Of course I'm not in your situation so I don't know what I'd do in reality. It just shows what a good mother you are as you want the best for your DD.
Sending big hugs. Don't be embarrassed about the debt, it's what the diaries are for after all. I go round in circles with my debt, something else always seems to crop up when we're nearly clear again.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Please take care of yourself (& DD obviously). I used to have a friend who was a psychiatrist & he used to say that, because of the stresses of dealing with someone with serious mental health issues, that person could start showing signs themselves because they were trying to protect themselves. Just watch out for yourselves & remember that whilst DD may not have realised what she has seen, she may subconsciously have registered a problem with her father.0

Just pooping in to send my good wishes to you and your dd. Dealing with mental health is one of the hardest things I know. I used to work in a mental health unit and had it at home as well. You are truly a good person to visit so often most of the people I worked with never saw a relative from one week to another.
Take care and dont be embarrassed to post about your finances no one here will judge you.0 -
Lots of love EE - hang on in there, you're doing great.
As everyone has already said, there's no shame in the financial situation at the moment. Things have changed loads and it takes time to adjust to the new way of life, new budget etc. plus there's a massive emotional upheaval going on as well.
Look after you as well as your ddNot giving up
