I am laughing - not at your predicament, but at the fact that I have also had a flood this weekend. Unfortunately I have to find the repair costs, but I was wondering if anything like that had happened to you.Not giving up

I'm fairly new on MSE so trying to work my way through diaries....I started on the last page, so read your first post, where you mention the totally unfair split on bills between yourself and STBEX (or DH as he was then). I was thinking, he sounds charming - not! So glad to skip forward 8 years and find you making a brand new life without him. Well done you0

Hope you are having a happy Sunday.

Honestly I am scared by how similar our lives are although your water crisis sounds much worse than mine.
Sometimes I moan about the fact my bathroom is downstairs but then when I hear about issues like yours I think actually its for the best as no ceilings will fall down if the bathroom floods.
Hope its not too expensive0 -

How are the kittens?
Thanks Beanie, hope you had a good weekend.
The kittens will be a year old in July and August but they have kind of disappeared, its the whole nuture and nature issue as the 2 oldest have been seen on our field which is where they were born to their feral mum.
The field is a few minutes walk from our house but they have to cross a very bust road to get there so I wonder did they just stumble across the field when out one night or have they always known where it is?
They do come back occasionally and eat the food that our outdoor cat has but they dont come in the house any more, one of them sits on the fence crying but looks petrified of us - I cant believe how quickly they have gone back to being feral.
The 2 youngest are still about and come in the house although for the past week or so we only have one or the other in the house and not both of them, when they do appear after a few days of not coming in they are clean and tidy, I am not sure if one of my neighbours is having them in their house/feeding them???0 -
The image on the one sitting on the fence looking terrified is so sad.
But ferrals are so different.

Hi EE
I'm just back after a few weeks of hell with exam marking. Hope that you're ok and all is going well with the home situation.
