glad you are a bit calmer..lol
nice to see you have some balance in the books and it isn't as bad as it seems.0 -
Oh my goodness - it's been a week since I was on my diary!!
I have been over on PAD - I am running our own weight loss thingy, I'm hoping to lose over 1 stone. First weigh in is tomorrow morning - I am bricking myself.
Hopefully I will have time tomorrow to post my updated balances.
I have been very efficient today, I have been mystery shopping - extra fee's as short notice and was on the coast so while I was in a certain town I went into one of them cheap and cheerful shops and managed to get some crab lines and crab buckets ready for our day of crabbing which is creeping up soon. (Should mean we save loads of money cos usually we would use the shop nearby - the only one for miles who can charge what they like)
Hope everyone is well.

Balances as per statements:
Barclaycard - £7683.44
Amazon - £2287.14
Abbey - £767.93
Paypal - £408.64
Total - £11147.15
Reduction - £106.45
I have cheated slightly in that I forgot to make my Barclaycard minimum payment but I have taken it off the balance of my last statement as otherwise my figures would be a bit skewed.
I am pleased with that reduction but it could have been more if I didn't have a late payment fee from Barclaycard.
Loads of expenses this month so not sure how much I can reduce my debt by.
Have got quite a few things planned for August which are gong to be cheap as I have converted some Clubcard deals.
Now about to buy my tax for 1 year (even if it leaves me short!!)
EE
P.S Weighed in on Friday and have lost 1lb :j - if I can keep that up I will be pleased as want to lose a stone by end of Sept.0 -
I brought my tax online for 1 year and it arrived today - this is the first time I have brought car tax for 1 year, I normally do 6 months only.
RANT ALERT!!!:
I am a bit narked with relative (who lives with us) at the moment.
At the weekend we went to a dog day (even though we have no dogs :rotfl:) and I pointed out a Newfoundland to relative and said that was the dog of my dreams and once we had a smallholding/farm I would get one.
Anyway we had a lovely day, very cheap as took lunch and drinks. Came home and cooked roast dinner.
While eating dinner we talked about the dog day and relative said the idea of getting a Newfoundland wouldn't be in his life time and certainly not before the kids went to Uni
Relative is 71 and has a few ailments so I suppose he might not live much longer but DS is only 13 and DD is only 7 so Uni is some way off it at all.
I can't believe he was so negative - I'm sure it was just an off the cuff remark but I was quite disheartened by it. He obviously does not know how much debt we are in and doesn't know how much we earn.
Maybe my dreams are a bit far fetched but I need something to aim for and this is the only thing keeping me sane!!
Although maybe he was talking about DH who's debt appears to be increasing (athough again relative does not know about this) and who spends money on a whim.
Anyway I have calmed down slightly since Sunday night and have decided I need to aim higher to get my debt paid off quicker.....so today I have sat on MSE reading a diary since 2007 and not doing anything to make money :rotfl:

It's your house so you can please yourself about the dog.
Well done on weight loss0 -
Thanks for popping by Taxi.
I seem to have renewed energy for making some extra money today so I have done most of my surveys and am at payout with Opinion World so I have asked to withdraw £11.55 - they reckon it can take 6 weeks to reach your account but hopefully it will be faster than that.
I also have some ink cartridges to send back so will get them sorted.
Will have to spend money today as I have to get photographs for DS & DD as they need to update their bus passes. They have had their current photo's for 2 years and have changed loads. I also need my photo's for my passport renewal.
I did Shred again last night and now my shoulders are hurting - not used to using those muscles!!

It's always good to get money from other places...all helps in the grand scheme of things and soon mounts up0

Hello Eager Elephant! I just found your diary. What on earth was that relative doing pouring cold water on your dreams of having a dog?!? It is none of his business! He must have been having a bad day. Please don't waste another minute thinking about it. Well done on July's payments and all the extra bits and pieces of money you have earned.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Hi Seaxwyn
Thanks for stopping by.
Mybe I didn't explain it well but we can;t have a dog in the private rented accomodation so it would have to wait until we brought a farm/smallholding and relative is implying that we won't be able to afford that for a very long time.
I so want to prove him wrong :rotfl:
The thing is he is so doing my had in and all DH says is that I should have known what he was like. Well I have only been in the family 10 years and only saw him once a week so didn't know his quirks  whereas DH has known him 30 years.
Why does relative need to tell me when he has used things up in the fridge such as left overs etc - I don't give a !!!!!! that he has used the egg mayo that I made a few days ago.
Maybe it is a reassurance thing like most men have :rotfl:
I also don't care that he found a screw on the stairs and has moved it for safe keeping, nor do I care that he saw an unusual van in the street today. You get the picture.
I also hate the fact that he grinds his teeth as he chews/eats no matter what we have, either crunchy things or even custard
Anyway that is my rant for today. :rotfl:
Tomorrow we are out at a mini theme park and relative (aged 71) is coming with us - should be interesting

In MSE news I have had my car insurance renewal - why has it increased by £4 per month when I have had no accidents, have made no claims although I am turning 30 this year - maybe I am a danger and I don't even know it :rotfl:
Will ring them when I get a chance and query it although I am hoping to be able to get a new policy and make some money through Quidco :rotfl:
Day Out tomorrow is courtesy of Tesco vouchers so won't cost anything, we have got things for a picnic and will only need to buy ice cream when we are there.
It is nearly my 10th wedding anniversary so was thinking we might stay in a Hilton hotel (courtesy of Tesco vouchers) unless anyone has other ideas which are cheap. We will only go for 1 or 2 days as can't really get anyone to look after the animals.
The fact that I want to divorce DH is irrelevant really as we are currently going through a good patch although that may have changed n 6 mnths :rotfl:
