Hi magpiedawn
Thanks for popping by, must do an update later.
I agree psychology and all that is really interesting. I wonder how many arguments between DH and me could have been avoided.
I know I always moan about DH on here but actually we have had a good week or so - no arguments/disagreements. We are actually making time for each other. In the evenings instead of me being on the laptop and him watching TV (albeit in the same room) we are now sitting down to watch a programme together (all Sky + as we record everything).
Hope everything is going ok for you.

Crikey, I've been really busy so not posted. Must make time - I have time to read other diaries but not to post on my own!!
I made a payment of £18.88 to Paypal c/c - this was £15.00 from Quidco (my Grand National bet) and £3.88 from a book sold on Amazon.
Still trying to scrape the money together for my passport renewal plus oil change which I need doing - hmm just realised I had a service done recently, I wonder if they changed the oil then but did not reset the computer.
Have been doing some mystery shopping which should bring in some extra money, next pay date is 9th Aug so should have about £100 to come on that date - ideally I would pay it to Paypal c/c but must sort the passport application out.
I was going to put some more books on Amaxon but had to do a MS today and the books are at my other house.
Must do my tax return from 08/09 - it's well overdue, I have a fine and they have made a calculation and so I owe £1100 tax  . Then this morning they rung to say that it was outstanding and I have promised to get it sorted within 10 days so this is my priority now.
Animals all doing well, cat has been spayed, she is back to the vets on Saturday and then hopefully she will go to my mum's to live.

Forgot to mention the best thing ever:j:T. We had DS's parents evening yesterday and they have decided to put him in the accelerated group for Science so he will start it in Yr 9 (from Sep) and actually take his GCSE in Year 10 instead of Year 11.
I am so proud of him :A, he tries really hard and he absolutely loves Science so he is really pleased.0 -
well done to ds.0

Hi readers!
Things not going according to plan with the new cat. Took her back to the vet on Saturday, stitches out but her eye ulcer has got worse so we have new medication and go back in 2 weeks.
Not sure if my mum is still having the cat as she thinks her current cat will rung off - I think her cat is too pampered but that's another story!!
Nothing else extra paid to debts yet but one bank account is looking decidedly perky, I only have July's child care to pay and I haven't had an invoice for that yet so can't pay it. May be able to make a large PAD soon although I musn't forget that the summer holidays are coming up. Not going away, too much hassle with our menagere of animals so day trips it will be instead. Need to get planning these.
DH had a moan at me on Sat as I went off to do some Mystery Shopping, did 5 jobs all spaced out in the county which took all day. Now have even more eggs from these jobs - was going to make cakes today but have to go into work shortly.
I told him that I needed to take the work when they offered it as my income does not cover my outgoings. He seemed shocked when I pointed out that with my wages, child benefit & child maintenance I have £800pm coming in but have to contribute to the household bills the same amount as him when he earns £1400+ pm.
Alas he did not offer to up his contribution so I could lower mine.
I have been paying some bills today and needed to use DH's account, I logged into this account to check the money I had transferred from another account was there and noticed that he basically at his overdraft limit already. Money was not in there even though it was a faster payment so will have to do that tonight.
While I was mooching around I added up his outgoings and they just about meet his income without the Macdonalds/lunches out he keeps buying. Wonder when he will realise he needs to cut back.
Anyway nothing to do with me, I just wanted to check whether I had been right all along when I told him he could not meet his minimum payments if he did not sell the original car.
Went to a lovely BBQ yesterday and now today it is absolutely chucking it down - what a difference a day makes!!

Sorry just realised that people might not understand the whole egg saga as I posted about it on Moo's page.
My chickens are laying loads at the mo (well not today with this rain!) and so are my geese and my ducks so I have loads of eggs. Luckily we can sell them at the gate but the slightly cracked ones we use ourselves in omlette etc plus the goose eggs.
The other day I had about 16 goose eggs so made loads of cakes and did quiche and frittata for tea which used up 10. I thought I was making headway until I accepted these mystery shop jobs where you have to purchase eggs to check if the assistant checks them. I now have 48 eggs to use up!!! Not including the slightly cracked ones we get each day.
Guess Wednesday will be spent making cakes etc!

and omlette and dippy eggs and soldiers and fried egg sandwiches.
I feel your pain. Days when there are only a dozen in the nest box are a bit of a relief.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
That's some amount of eggs to get through.0

Well I forgot that on Weds I had a work meeting so could not do any cooking until Thurs.
I managed to cook the following:
2 x chocolate sponges with icing
48 Choc chip buns
1 lot of brownies with mixed nuts
1 lot of brownies without nuts
24 Krackolates
12 Coleman Cookies
1 large pastryless quiche
Yorkshire Puddings
I managed to use 18 eggs from mystery shopping plus 6 goose eggs.
I underestimated the goose eggs I had and I still have another 8!!! plus all the rest of the mystery shopping eggs.
Hmm what else can I cook?!?!? :rotfl:
I was very narked with DH, I made one of the sponge cakes and some buns for my brother and his girlfriend as they had DD on Monday after school.
I did not have time to take them to him so in the evening when DH went to lock up the animals I asked him to drop them off.
Now as my brother was not at home and always has his back door unlocked where did DH leave the cakes......................
Yup you guessed right - on the doorstep . By the time my brother got home ants had got in the container :mad::mad::mad:
You can guess my reaction, DH thinks I have over reacted by shouting loudly and swearing at him. I personally think it was justified. Now we are not on very good terms.
I have analysed the responsibility for the argument and although I should share some of the responsibility I don't want to :rotfl: as I slaved all day making the darn things.
I accept some responsibility as I should have made time to take them to my brother without relying on DH, on the other hand DH should have had more sense than to leave them on the doorstep.
Anyhoo enough moaning.
I am so annoyed with myself, I have time off every week so why did I not make time to pay my Barclaycard minimum payment
I logged into Barclaycard tonight ready to pay it only to find the statement was created yesterday and I have been charged £12
July appears to have passed me by very quickly!
I can't set up a DD as the day it comes out is not convenient, maybe I should write it in my diary or the easiest thing would be to pay it off asap :rotfl:

Aargh!!
Forgot to say that my car tax renewal has come through. I forgot it was due!
I was hoping to pay for a year this time as it is also due in Feb when my MOT is also due. The usual course of events is to panic on 1st Feb, locate all pwk, discover MOT has run out, ring garage and book car in, have MOT done, tax car around 15th of month!!
I can't go on like this in case I get a fine so was hoping to be more organised.
How can I afford the car tax and the renewal of my passport - not to mention the rest of the holiday needs to be paid mid August. Plus we are now coming up to school holidays and I am hoping to arrange some days our or cheap places to go - will have to get cracking with this.
Arrgghhh! Stress! Stress! Stress!!

Oooo I am much calmer today.
I have sat and worked out my money for next month and I think I have enough :j
I have checked my mystery shoppng account and I am due £170 on 9/8 which will help enormously, I have a cheque to cash and some expenses to claim which will also help.
I have listed my outgoings for next month and it all tallys (although Barclaycard payment will have to come out of childcare account again)
I have also started my list for summer holidays, am hoping to be able to do cheap things and the list is coming together, just need to discuss it with everyone.
Managed to get free tickets to see Karate Kid on Sunday for preview screening. DH took DS but still managed to spend £9.00 on car parking and 2 drinks but I guess it would have been more if they had to pay for tickets, but there again we wouldn't afford it so they wouldn't have gone.
Anyway they both enjoyed it which was good.
No mystery shopping work for me at the moment, I could really do with some which could be paid Aug/Sep to help me on my way :rotfl:
I'm sure something will come up!!
Oooh just remembered I also have some ink cartridges to send back so that should be another £10 or so.
