I know FF, just feeling a bit disheartened today.

Forgot to update on DH. He has not brought anything on ebay for at least 2 weeks - I think it's because I told him that I didn't care what he brought so he does not get a reaction and also I have not been checking his ebay account.

I am slightly concerned about his car though, the temporary insurance ended mid month and he said he was going to ring them.
Well instead of ringing the insurance company that he usually uses to extend for a further month he has taken out a new policy with Barclays - which means he is tied in for 12 mnths because if he cancels he will have to pay a fee.
Sometimes I wonder whether he is getting rid of the car or not?!

I have not raised this with him as his finances are nothing to do with me although he did mention that he must get it valeted so he can sell it. He also mentione the policy had not come through - I said 'Oh A are usually so good at sending policies within a few days' and he said 'yeah I will chase them' and didn't even acknowledge that he had taken out a new policy with someone else.

It's such a shame he has not sorted things as his outgoings each month are more than his incomings and he is going to get further in debt but again I am not letting myself get narked about it - I am strangely calm.

    Hi everyone

Not been on for ages, I have loads going on and don't have much to post at the moment.

I am seriously skint again so have not made any PAD's since the start of the month.

Not sure when the situation will improve now that I have given up my voluntary work - the expenses came in handy.
I am going to apply for a full time job but it is Nationwide so may be a lot of travelling and not sure if I can cope with that plus the kids and the animals.

There was a job for a catering assistant which would have been perfect (think Moo suggested it before), I got the application form but didn't complete it and then the deadline passed. Grrr.

Maybe I need to find a little part time job instead.

Also on my days off now I need to do something more constructive than sitting on MSE all day! I have a list to cover today and tomorrow so if you see my green light on please tell me off.

So the deadline passed. Phone 'em anyway. Catering (assuming its schools) usually covers a wider area and they need relief cover and maternity cover and they might not have had any applicants anyway. No harm in making the call.

I think fate may have occurred today - I went to the Post Office to pay in some money and on the notice board was 2 notices for people who want cleaners. The pay is quite good so I have rung one and left a message and the other one I will ring tomorrow once I have heard from the first lot.
Both are in places very close to home and are very flexible which would fit in nicely.

I have been doing bits today but the main things have been left ... again so I thought I would post my list from this morning, cross off what I have done and hopefully I will be more motivated for tomorrow!!:

    [STRIKE]
Pay money in at Post Office
    Pay oil bill
    Buy chicken food
Report neighbour to local police station
    [/STRIKE]
    Sort handbag
    Complete expenses form
Sort cheques etc for committee work
    Sort CSA
    Sort Tax Credits
    Ponder on national job application
    Complete surveys
    Pay Council Tax

Hmmm so maybe I need to sort myseld out.

Going out shortly for a bellydancing class - first of a 6 week course. Have been to look at a session to see what they do and it all looks manageable.
    I'm so excited!!!

So I carried on with yesterday's list today and managed to get a bit more done:

Pay money in at Post Office
    Pay oil bill
    Buy chicken food
Report neighbour to local police station

    [STRIKE]Sort handbag
    Complete expenses form
Sort cheques etc for committee work[/STRIKE]
    Sort CSA
    Sort Tax Credits
    Ponder on national job application
    Complete surveys
    [STRIKE]Pay Council Tax[/STRIKE]

Just need to post committee info off now and actually claim my expenses from work tomorrow.

I also managed to tidy all the lounge including moving the sofa's etc!! :D

    Another quick update I hope.

Managed to pay off the elec bill from the old house - £60.33, just have £29.00 to pay to water bill.

Had a great weekend - went to an Open Farm Sunday at a farm near us - www.farmsunday.org

It was a great day out, it was free but brought everyone sausages and hog roast plus tea and cake. Relative brought milk and cheese made on site.

Have been doing my surveys and have just sorted my CSA out, should have done this back in October as you only have a month to query assessment but have asked for it on official error as some of the error is with their applicable amount - they should know how old my son is!
Should hopefully get more CSA each week although this months money has not gone in yet, will leave it another week and chase although £26.00 does not make difference to the budget. :D

You will remember that I ordered an Amazon voucher from Hi-epanel, well it hadn't arrived and I need to order DH's father's day present so I emailed them and it seems that it ended up in my junk mail folder so they resent it so I have £16.00 to get something for him.
Will do this tonight when kids are home.

Am not feeling too good at the moment, ears have been playing up for weeks but don't really want to go to the doctor's - will wait a bit longer.

I have also opened a new email account so I can start entering competitions - maybe this is how I will make my fortune :rotfl:

By coincidence the Catering Assistants job which I did not apply for has been readvertised in my area, the one before was for a town about 10 miles away this one is for the town 5 miles away. Rung up for application form and will send it back - feel free to nudge me if necessary!!

DH narked me a bit over the weekend, on Sunday it was his turn to do the animals while I sorted the children.

Well he did not get up til 10.30 and then had the cheek to say 'why didn't you wake me?'. How many times does the man need telling that I am not his mother

He claims his depression casuses him to be like this but I'm not sure so over the last 6 months or so I have deliberately not woken him up as the Relate counsellor agreed that I was acting like his mother. The only time he gets woken up is when it is his morning for the children and DD wakes him up.
It used to be that I sorted the children every day and he did the animals but that meant he got a lay in every day so we changed it and it works well.

On Saturday I had a hair appointment, I was gone 2 hours and when I got back I asked if he had started the washing, his reply 'Oh you never asked me to!' I said that he should know that the washing needs doing, his reply was that he is a man and his head is not wired to consider washing!
Am tempted next weekend to do no washing but then it would not be fair on the kids going to school in their PJ's :D

On Sunday morning I emptied the washing machine while he was sorting the animals, I draped some clothes over the washing machine door (the ones that had to hang in the airing cupboard) while I put the rest in the tumble dryer. DH stood right by it to make a cup of tea and then proceeded to read the paper
I told him last night how I felt about it and he said he hadn't even seen it there - how you can miss a huge washing machine door wide open with clothes on is beyond me :rotfl:

Are men really like this or is it just my husband who thinks the housework fairy comes?

Hi EE, I think it's a man thing to not notice things that need doing. My OH is really very good about trying to do his share of housework but seems to genuinely not notice that he's used the last bath towel and that it might be a good idea to put a washing on.:rotfl:

He also likes to leave things at his a*se and then complains that he can't find them and expects me to magically know where everything is. I blame his mother as he's an only child. ;)

He'll try to "slam-dunk" dirty washing into the washing basket, miss, and then not think to pick it up and put it in. He knocks hangers off the rail in the wardrobe by dragging clothes out and doesn't pick them up again. He leaves empty cardboard boxes around the house in random piles because he's going to use them when selling stuff on ebay (apparently).

Sorry, that turned into a bit a rant there. :o:rotfl: So, even though my OH tries (and he does do a lot) there are some things he just doesn't seem to "get".
