Hi Sea
I would like to acknowledge how far your debt has come down. Not long until the 15's, so no matter what else has happened WELL DONE on that.
You did make me smile about the tax credits. I swear they just think of a number, double it and divide it by 3 and that is what you get.
Sorry that you are feeling a bit down about your job, maybe it is the after effects of your trip, as well as a long term? I would also hazard (as I am doing it too at the moment) that coming of anti depressants will mean that it won't be dampening your emotions as much now.

Oh yes Chev- feeling EVERYTHING now and really really didn't realised that the dosage I took made such a difference. But, I didn't want to be on them forever, and the doc agreed, but wow! It's a shocker! I think the trip was really emtionally challenging and would have been for anyone, but with feeling 'feelings' fully for the first time in 3ish years (maybe more) it's knocked me more and I just need to deal with that fact. I'm going to read some of the more life affirming Holocaust responses my mum has recommended me this weekend as I feel a lot of despair and hopelessness, combined with frustration with quite a few other things. Also not get caught up feeling selfish/self-pitying, which is an easy trap for me!
Was a good weekend - have raging PMT so had to apologise to my mum for being a complete dragon!! The wedding was very small - very MSE - but wonderful for it. Made me realise that not much money needs to be spent, of course, to have a great time celebrating such a momentous occasion. Certainly not as much as we spent on ours.
Also went to the German Christmas Market in Leeds- lovely. Now, this is NOT me getting old - we went on the carosel and it was scarily fast!! Honestly- I know it sounds daft, but if I'd not been gripping tight, I'd have gone flying off!
Spent too much though - even though I didn't buy anything apart from 2 Christmas tree decorations that the children picked out - but the cost of petrol, parking and gift added up and had a little heart attack when I sorted finances tonight. So even more determined to do my spending diary come pay day.
BIG NEWS. My mum is wonderful. She got an argos card from her insurers last year (or was it this year?...not sure...maybe January) from when she was burgled and hasn't spent it as hasn't needed anything from argos. So she said I could use it to buy the kids a ds each for Christmas (remember their ones went in the bin?!). So I have rung the insurers and told them what happened - looks unlikely I'll be successful - but if I do get any money then I'll give it to her to use for things she couldn't get in Argos. But that is a complete relief as I was really concerned about Christmas.
I'm going to attempt to sell the jewellry this coming weekend, when the kids are at their dads. SO if I do get some money, I'm going to give my friend part of the money I owe her, part to my mum and then part aside for the rest of the Christmas presents. I know I'm getting money from my dad (he's told me) for birthday/christmas so I can pay the rest of the money I owe my friend off then, and she's happy with this. Then I can also give some more to my mum and hopefully if there is anything left, use it as an emergency fund (as they seem to happen!!
). Obviously if the jewellery doesn't sell, it doesn't sell and I'll use my dad's money to pay off what I owe my friend.
Firewalker listed the 100 most popular books (was it most popular? something like that anyway) and while I haven't read many I've *got* plenty of them!! i'd love to read more and now I've deactivated my facebook account (yeah, let's see how long that lasts!! Perhaps when my paranoia disapates a tad I'll be straight back on there) I *should* have more time for reading etc. Fingers crossed anyway!
As for thinking over goals etc. I haven't thought much at all this weekend. The things I have thought about are more practical - really getting the house sorted so that I don't feel down about that aspect of my life. It's 100s of times better than this time last year, but still a way to go to feel fully homely. Going to have a think about what will help a lot (minimal cost of course) and then draw up plan of action. Also in work, just going to keep on doing my best, even if that isn't quite what the bosses want, but it's all I can do, while still ensuring that the kids get as much from me as possible.
Anyway, better get back to the marking (joy joy). William woke up before and wasn't well, so I hope he's improved tomorrow morning, but if not it'll be a day off work (which is yay but also NOOOO as will fall behind and I hate that). Of course, I do hope he isn't unwell because it's horrible for him!!

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I don't believe this.
Just gone to get argos gift card. Was on top shelf of bookcase for safety.
IT'S NOT THERE.

So I either take everything off bookshelf now, or leave it til tomorrow and get in full panic. It MUST be there somewhere.

Hi Sea
Thought i'd pop over onto your diary.
Sorry to hear your son is poorly.
My big DS1 has decided he doesn't feel to well today either( more likely he was out too late last night!!) but TBH it is quite nice as he has taken it upon himself to do all my housework:jhe's just done the living room and is now doing the kitchen, haven't looked yet though (daren't lol!).
So i am sitting here like lady muck with nothing to do (well apart from ringing round to tranfer dd's over)
Hope you have a good day xx0 -
Thanks
Shame William isn't 10 years older and could just up and do all that lol!!
Just rang jewellers - not selling anything so won't be buying anything. So that's that way of making money gone. Ah well. Trying not to be pessimistic. Got to find something to raise cash for christmas. I only need a little as kids pressies done, just my mum's present and stockings and a few close friends presents to get. Not getting anyone else things!!
On with the list (that has hardly been started - made lunch for Will and cuddled up with him on the sofa for a while)
