Ooh - just realised I MUST go through the duplo box, sort and take pics for ebaying it. Good news is that William decided he does want to keep his thomas trains and that's a relief due to his christmas present!!

    Hi all

came home to some great news - from tax credits saying I owed them 400 then upping it to 1600 to now saying that they have overpaid me last year, but I'm still owed money this year so they'll take it out of there, and will actually still get a little money each month!!!! Honestly, do they actually know what they are on about??? I have no idea how they work out the money I should get...seems all over the place!

My mum made me cry earlier by sending me a virtual rose telling me how proud of me she is, especially recently, stopping drinking and now coming off my meds too. For years she's not been able to say that really and I feel all emotional!!!

Had to pay for the kids swimming lessons earlier - ouch!! But that's paid up for another 7 weeks at least.

Sorted out some of the duplo tonight and hope to get some more done once the kids have had their rough and tumble time before bed.

I have 2 cats and my mum brought over a kitten she found abandoned in her park a few weeks ago. Trouble is, kids love it, but I am getting increasingly resentful - at a kitten for goodness sake!!!! It's into everything, escapes, gets in the way constantly etc. Now, I know that's what kittens are like, but I never wanted it!! My mum says she's going to pay for it's vaccines and any treatment etc. but I was just about keeping it together with 2 kids and 2 cats lol. I know it sounds silly, but it's almost the tipping point, you know?

Anyway, better get on with the duplo after getting the kids down.

    hi all

Went to Manchester this afternoon for the follow up seminar on the Auschwitz visit - had a session with the students as they now have to plan a follow up project where they deliver some of the lessons/ideas gained from the project to their school/community and then a session for us teachers on how to best deliver lessons on the Holocaust. Very interesting.

Came back to a relatively tidy house, although I didn't do anything yesterday as just felt really low. Hopefully after a good nights sleep tonight I'll feel better tomorrow and be more with it.

Need to chase up my mortgage man although I think that the lack of any contact means he hasn't been able to find me a mortgage - eek! I'm sure it'll all work out somehow.

I am proud of you too - having "known" you for several years now, I know how much of a change there has been in your life. Sending you a big, well deserved hug!

and yes, things will sort themselves out. Maybe not immediately, but they will.

Well, life continues - been a real up and down week this week. Hopefully I won't have another week like that this week. Currently lying on the sofa watching the Grand Prix and catching up on here :)

Need to look at finances today, do washing and marking. Not too much.

    Arghhhhhhhhh
Just remembered bread in oven - hard and too crunchy !!! Boooooo

Going to read some more on here, have lunch and then do some marking while GP is on - can't really justify lounging on sofa after the mammoth lie in this morning :)

Went to Liverpool with a friend yesterday and it was lovely. Got some stocking fillers for the kids and
got to a different meeting too. However, I missed the jewellers :(

    Hope all good

BIG wke up call- did new financial statement and realised that somewhere I am frittering away quite a bit of money (over 100 quid a month!!) and that just isn't good especially as that would pay for Christmas presents pretty much!!

So, it's going to have to be a spending diary. Going over it did highlight my attention to the fact that I have only 29 budget for clothes and shoes so need to remember htis and put some money aside from other budgets (eek) and NOT spend stupid money without knowing it so then I'll be able to get the kids new school shoes for January otherwise I won't have it. William needs particular shoes due to completely flat feet. MUST make that drs appointment about them actually.

Feel calm about the finances - I feel relieved that I'm just able to add up the figures and see where I'm going wrong. Need to cut right down on some of those extras like, well, I don't know but am obviously over spending!!
Back to basics as I read again and again in these diaries :)

Yup, I am another who is overspending every month - need to crack it otherwise I will be no better off after I have moved house, and that has the potential then to be a big problem!

Hope you have a good week x
