Well, what a month October was! Dumfries was wonderful. :)

Then discovered someone had used my card and got 200 quid via asda home delivery - not great - got money back from bank but whole thing took a while. Cat was run over and cost 100 quid, but is fine. Doesn't look like anyone will give me a mortgage in my own name - not great, but not stressing too much about it.
I got a last minute cancellation teacher place on the Lessons from Auschwitz project - takes 2 students from sixth forms/colleges to Poland for the day. So went on Thursday after an orientation seminar - just an amazing experience, still very emotionally drained, and I hope to learn a lot from the whole experience, both in my teaching and personally. My emerging faith in a higher power have been severely rattled, but there is a follow up session that should give me more hope about humanity!!

I saw family at the yearly family gathering in a youth hostel (paid for me by my great aunt and uncle as my christmas pressie) and that was wonderful. Then went to cardiff straight after to see my good friend for a few days with the kids and her kids. We went to Barry Island and Sophia went in the sea!! Crazy girl :)

Financially things aren't great, but I'm ok today and that's what matters. I'm taking some jewellery back into the local jewellers next weekend - he said he might be able to give me some decent prices for them then. Fingers crossed, eh?!

William turned round today and said he doesn't want his Thomas the tank trains and track anymore (annoying as I had bought him an extension as his christmas present) but that I can sell them!! (he is only 5 but gets my selling of old toys on ebay lol). I'm leaving it a few days as he might yet change his mind. Hopefully I'll be able to get him an electric train set of some kind for Christmas (cheap!) - any ideas anyone?

Today I had a really good day of tidying the house - a friend came over and helped loads and I just have to now keep it sorted. It gets me down so much and the kids and I deserve our house to be a nice place to live.

I've come off my anti-depressants (slowly) but this now means that I'm feeling EVERYTHING in full glory, which has been quite hard, even without going to Auschwitz.

Hoping that tomorrow I can finish off the house jobs. I have a box which I'm going to paint and put stuffing on the top and cover with an old sheet to make the kids a toy/storage box with a seat on top. I would love another sofa - have made room for it in the sitting room, but can't afford one. I'm on the look out with friends and newspapers etc for cheap ones, but the box will help for now!

    I hope all are well.

It really was - emotional fall out last night, which wasn't good. I just can't even comprehend what people went through.

Got the menu plan, list and shopping done tonight so less to do tomorrow. :) Bulk bought a few things so spent 48 including delivery for the week.

Got all my bits done apart from the letters, which I'll try to get done at some point this week.

Menu plan helping SO much already :) So nice not having to think about it and just looking at my list. Must remember it makes things easier and saves loads of money too.

Sophia gave me her Christmas/Birthday list today - crikey!! She wants a mobile phone bless her- she's going to be 8! I asked her exactly who she wanted to phone. She said me (when at her dad's), her dad (when she is here) and grandma lol. She did says she doesn't want anything fancy, just a phone that she could use. I can't imagine it's wise getting an 8 yr old a phone, but it's certainly one of the cheapest options on her list!! (like the 15 quid ones from tesco etc).

This coming weekend is the bit question about pressies really as I'll be off back to the jewellers. Fingers crossed he wants to buy something!!

Not a lot done MSE wise - took my lunch to work and spent nothing, apart from buying a planned birthday present for a close friend.
