Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “Hi everyone, hope you are all well” type start is just as good.

Happy New Year!!
May 2010 bring blessings and love to all.
May 2010 bring blessings and love to all.

Nic1 - I would take any turkey that was going but no luck down here. Still, we can defrost some of the christmas stuff.
Beemuzed - hope the party went well hon!
Gers - hope you made it to your parents house safely
Noahs - hope you find some suitable shoes
Taplady - well done on your weight that is really impressive. Hope Janet is doing OK.
I was really tired so went to bed normal time - was woken by the fireworks at midnight but managed to get back to sleep when they stopped about 20 mins later.
Today we continue with the marathon (or so it seems) inventory of the kitchen.. still haven't done the larder or the freezer. And I still do not have a meal plan which is annoying. We were going to have left over roast beef but I ate a lot of it yesterday evening after my OH went to work! So I am working on a pasta sauce idea I think.
BM is on though and the house smells nice and I am still really enjoying my christmas decorations.. the hearth especially.
Anyway, I hope everyone's day is the very best it can be for them and that anyone under the weather feels better. With love and light to all and very good wishes for this New Year.

After such a warm welcome yesterday it would have been rude not to come back.
We stayed up to see the New Year in (with a little drink), just as well as one of our dogs dont like fireworks, and there was plenty here.
Today I am going to start as I mean to go on (ha ha). Ive joined the Grocery Challenge so will be listing contents of freezer and meal planning. My other resolution is to walk at least 1 mile a day, so will set off with old doggie - we found out in November she has cataracts forming so has limited sight, hopefully she will enjoy the scents.
Dinner will be roast pork. I cooked it yesterday and even managed to get crackling!! We had a hot pork sandwich last night, our own kind of hog roast, as it smelt so good.
((((Hugs)))) to SunnyGirl and anyone else who wants or needs one.0 -
Happy New Year Everyone!!!!
I'm just back from taking the outlaws to the airport to go home. It's -10 out there! BRRRRR. It's so sad watching them go, the few days they were here are too short, especially when my neice and nephew are so young, it breaks my heart to say goodbye to them, knowing it will be months before I can give 'em a wee hug again! Still, I'm determined to have more money this year, and will make sure some of that goes towards a few trips to Swisscheeseland!
OS today will be sleeping now 'til about 12noon then some sausage rolls and a pack up for me to take to w*rk at 4. It wasn't too bad at all last night and I actually managed to enjoy myself! Hopefully more of the same tonight.
Have a great day everyone, and to those in need, I hope 2010 brings it's own delights and comforts!

Morning everyone.
If you have any sense at all you are having a lie in :rotfl: Sadly I am up with the kids. Was going to post a long whinge about lack of sleep again but do you know what you lot must be sick of hearing it (I know I am sick of saying it) so my posts for 2010 are going to avoid talking about my kids and their sodding sleeping issues
Sooooo OS for today....hmmm got some washing to put on and will need to make dinner......so not a lot clearly :rotfl:
I bought some reduced Christmas stuff from Hobbycraft yesterday, some rubber festive stamps for 79p down from £2.99. I'd really like to get back into my card making so this was a bargain for me
Hope you all enjoyed NYE. We went to bed before midnight but weren't asleep, mind you the fireworks would have woken us anyway.
Wishing you all the very best for 2010:beer:
Sunnygirl - thinking of you and your family xxx
remmie - welcome, hope you stay with us on the Daily. You sound like you are getting nice and organised......I too must make a freezer inventory. What puts me off is getting freezing cold, standing in the garage doing it
I didn't catch up with yesterdays thread so hugs to those that need them.

Im just up after a very busy night as had to go and pick DD up from a party - rather the worse for wear!!!! DS1 is not in and has not texted me so wonder where he is but as one of my resolutions is not to worry so much then I am not worried!!!!
Bitsy - Im a bit superstitious and dont wash clothes on New Years Day. Does anyone else follow this?
Im going to make a cake for my mums birthday today and steamed pudding with almond sauce.
Sorry twins poorly - I remember mine being like that when they were little.
Hugs to those who need them,

Morning all
We had fireworks round here from 8 til 1, I did feel sorry for anyone with nervous pets.
It looks like it might be dry today, so I may try & persuade hubby to come for a walk if his knee's not too bad, otherwise we'll go for another drive.
Bitsy, my oldest DD didn't sleep through the night til she was 5, you have my sympathy.
Halight, hope the twins get better soon.
Plans for today include doing DS's washing & more knitting or crochet.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Hugs Hester

Good Morning All and Happy New Year Ostlyers :j
Last night ended up having a friend and my sister round for a meal, made it till 10.30 then hit the sack :rotfl:luckily hardly any fireworks this year so slept through. At the moment am enjoying a nice peaceful house as everyone is still in bed.
Today have a good day planned, we are going with my sis down to the West End, meeting my Dad & Step mum who are treating us to Chinatown for dinner. Kids have some Xmas money so will have a wander round the shops near Covent Garden. Will be treating myself to Starbucks (minus the cream for OH)
Will wrap up warm as its cold today, have woken to a light dusting of snow.
So no OS today but will be back with a vengence tomorrow.
Hope you all have a good start to 2010, Halight - hope the twins improve asap.

Morning all
Happy New Year to you all and hope 2010 brings all we wish for:D
I was in bed at 9.30 last night:o as was so tired, OH stayed up till about 10 30 then came to bed.......hardly any fireworks this year, however DS had set one of his many clocks around the house and that went off during the night so the usual search for it to turn it off;)
Up early here as usual, have been up hours already:rolleyes:. DS is flapping about doing the entire script from Finding Nemo for some reason.
OH and i having a bacon buttie then out to the park with DS with a flask of hot chocolate.
I have a roast pork dinner to make later.0
