We've not been given dates so you don't know that. Anyway I would be tempted to refund after a quick check into the background of the buyer
Kind of irrelevant now anyway, as they bought it in Novemberbob wrote:This does happen I received an empty DVD case from Amazon before.Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

Yes, but the buyer might not know that, and if they're trying it on (which they most likely are), they might realise it's not worth the hassle on a lost cause. Empty cases have been in the news quite recently, the new Harry Potter release was hit by it (the special edition version) according to the Amazon forums.if it's well over a month later they having your leg i would have thought the first thing you do is shake the box to see if there something inside0 -
Also, bear in mind that the reason for the delay in notifying you of the problem may have been that the game was for a Christmas present0

How would you feel if you bought a game on eBay, it was empty and the seller said "tough luck chap" and kept your money?Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0

Won't be the same person, but the same sort of thing seems to have happened to somebody else too, so I guess the buyers story is not impossible.

Hi, sold a game brand new in factory seal, buyer contacts me this week after xmas to say her daugther unwrapped the seal to find no game there. I sell many games and the likly hood of this happening is not likly in the slightest.
Now there suggesting they should be refunded. Need some advice here, as anyone could say this story which isnt beliavable.
Happy new year.. thanks.
sorry but i find this quite beleivable, i bought my dad a dvd in hmv and it had no disk in, ive also known a relative to buy a ds game which didnt have the game in after undoing the seal and a colleague had the same thing with a dvd, so it does happen!
i would refund or send them another, after all theyve not got what they paid for! its not you fault, if its sealed you werent too know but its not your buyers fault either0 -
Well what can I say. I know exactly who you are. You sold my Sister the game which was in fact sold on 18 December 2009. £22.42 was paid for it. You are a very rude inconsiderate person. An email was sent to you to tell you that the box was empty when it was opened. People are very busy this time of year and don't always find time to open things and check them over the Xmas period just for your information. You seem to be trying to make up dates to get people to agree with you when in fact you're lying to yourself. A claim has been filed with eBay and Paypal. We'll see what happens then. You're welcome to the empty box if you wish to refund the money for that too.
SO TO JUST GET THIS CLEAR, BOUGHT ON 18 DECEMBER FOR XMAS PRESENT, IT'S ONLY 11 JANUARY, NOT EVEN 1 MONTH YOU MORON.
Can you post a link to the auction from your recently bought list so others can see?? IF your username is on it maybe take a screen shot and blank your username outEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
