These were taken out earlier this summer. Sadly they are long gone.

We discovered this last trip...we were sad...my hubby was really looking forward to a Fresca. :) I consoled myself with some gelato from the shop at the front of the casino...and now have a reason to go back because it was gooooood.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

ouch, new owners, shame but every cloud and that at least the cocktail waitresses are worth waiting for.

It also tells me I gotta get back there soon.

If you do go "cheap" at the weekend it then allows for a better hotel the other nights like PH, Paris, or even CP, TI etc

I thought you had a car in vegas so no taxi fares

I am there for 1 week, and fly to orlando on the friday night, so i booked a mustang for the thurs pm time to fri (1 day hire).
Am looking at this Orleans place as reviews say its all good, so ideally check in there on friday around 3pm, then check out sunday as late as possible and get a nice place on the strip for the 5 nights..
Do strip hotels let you check in on sundays around 1 or 2pm maybe ?

Vegas is BRILLIANT! I'm going in December and also went 5 years ago, we stayed at the New York New York hotel which has a rollercoaster going through it (!), also did a two day trip - self drive - to the gran canyon and hoover dam (you drive past the dam). Really looking forward to it again.

    Right then peeps :)
One thing i really fancy doing is jumping off the Stratosphere on there Skyjump thing :)
    Has anyone done this ?

I have watched a couple of videos on Youtube, but it looks as though you come down slowly as opposed to having the feeling of 'base jumping' or actually moving at speed.....
Am i wrong, as i got my hopes up for this, i wanted to run and jump off, then have it slow me down when i am 3/4 way down ! (i guess if they didnt slow me down, it would be like a scene from the cartoon Road Runner!!)
    :)

Oh, and heres my plan (booking very close to June mind based on a guessed/estimated cost)

    Check-in to either:
Terribles or Best Western (Mardi-Gras) which i think is about 1 mile from the strip, just up from the Hard Rock hotel...
Gone for either of these because they have a nice pool for getting a tan through the day ! :)
No Resort fee, so i should be looking at a Total of $90 for the 2 nights (3rd june)

Then if my estimates are correct, i'll look to stay in MGM Grand, Luxor or Monte Carlo for around $350 (5 nights), guess i'll get stung on this resort fee...
This should be around £290 total at a guess.......... Any info on the idea above ?

Ok we got married last month in Vegas and just had our Vegas themed (ish) party on the weekend so thought would share a picture of our cake and cake topper. Cake topper was made from paulabear on this forum.

Also really need to get my report up, but as a wedding present and birthday gift my wife is now taking me to New York for 5 days next week so maybe a few weeks yet :)
