Any recommendations for 10 days car hire in Las Vegas pls?

Virgin want £217 which includes a free upgrade to their platinum package which, in itself, includes a free second driver and free tank of fuel. The first 7 days car hire is included in price.

So above price is for their "all in" insurance and 3 days extra car hire. This is for a bog-standard 4 door compact car.

    TIA

Also try https://www.auto-europe.co.uk - go through Quidco for 8.5% cashback.

In all fairness, the rate offered is good...
Virgin use Alamo, and for your 10 day with the fuel/driver for £217 .
If you booked with Dollar, (thats dollar.co.uk) and picked there platinum, then it would be £215 for the same car :)
If you want to hire a car in the tourist parts of the states, i'm with trets as above, look at Netflights....
Netflights are good for shorter days car hire but not so good for a week upwards...
Usrentacar.co.uk are good for week upwards (and picking there GOLD package gives the fuel/driver and there is No excess at all)

Or ring Virgin and say if there using Alamo which is most likely, ask for the Ford Escape (mid suv) which should in theory based on your offer above get u this 4x4 for extra £40 :)

or book with auto-europe, who charge £217 for the car without fuel and additional driver :D:D

HOTEL idea - Is it worth it ?

I was thinking along the lines of this:
I arrive in Vegas on a friday afternoon, then fly to florida on the following friday evening.. To juggle costs and so on, could it be worth checking into a cheaper hotel on the friday and Saturday night, then moving to a nicer one for the remaining 5 nights ?
It would it prove a nightmare or not cost effective doing it like this ?
(Now i know of resort fees and so on, i was thinking 2 nights in Excal and then 5 in Tropicana or Luxor ?)

Huh? Two hundred plus quid for three days compact car hire, a tank of petrol and an upgrade on insurance?

I must be doing something wrong - whenever I check netflights and CH3000 - the latter is always cheaper - always.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

It's suggested on page one and people do it all the time. I personally can't see much point in moving to a hotel so close to the other...if you want to save a significant amount look at somewhere like Orleans or Gold Coast or similar...I can't imagine the difference between those you are looking at would be that much, would it?
