Me & My friend are looking to go to Vegas in October half term next year (she is a teacher)
I've looked at the 24th - 30th (6 nights) and the flights with BA have just come out from Heathrow - £610 return
We can get a cheap hotel (golden nugget, excalibur) for about £110 each for the 6 nights.

Is this a good price?? I've seen Vegas flights for under £500 before but obviously travelling peak time doesn't help!

Crikey, where did you see Excalibur for £220 ?????? (note there will be a resort fee of around £46 on top of that).....

    Hi there,

Looking for advise again please, my partner and I are looking to go to Vegas in December. I contacted the Paris Hotel for somemore info on their Le Rendezvous lounge, I've copied the reply below. It's going to be our first time in Vegas and we are wondering if this sounds like good value?? We had simlar access to the lounge in The Hilton Hotel in New York and there we only had to worry about getting a snack through the day. Any advice would be great! Thank you xx

Thank you for contacting Paris Las Vegas!

Newspapers/magazines are available for reading in the lounge.
Free local phone calls from the lounge

Thanks again and have a great day!

I wouldnt touch it with a bardge pole
As previously said so many decent restaurants and bars to try in vegas you really don't want to feel oblidged to use the same place all the time, which you will if you pay with it
plus its expensive when you consider some hotels do a 24 hour unlimmeted buffet pass for not much more in price

    John,
You should try booking your flight + hotel seperate, usually comes in alot cheaper, try your hotel discount...as you are booking direct with the hotel this way and if anyone pulls out usually the hotel is fully refundable, this is always stated.
Where are you flying from and what month do you go?

Thanks for the info bungle. I will keep an eye on flights etc closer to the time, but have a feeling they will be £550+ or so, but i will have to compare that with the expedia deals etc that are around at that time too, i reckon they may come in closer to £700. So its a toss up of what to go for.

Just announced in the Las Vegas Sun that the MGM hotel group will be introducing a resort fee at the Bellagio from January, what they don't say is how much!!! It also states that they plan to introduce fees progressively in all their wholly owned hotels in Las Vegas.

Interesting parts in the report states that MGM earned $20m over the last quarter. MGM comment that they've not had any negative reaction?

The newspaper comments on the fact that the resort fees don't show up when booking, I've seen several posts on here about them.

Obviously MGM don't read these boards. Someone should send Jim Murren the link.

If Mandalay Bay charge $15/night, I would hazard a guess that Bellagio will be at least that much.

feeling especially glad that we managed to get Garth Brooks tickets for our last trip (at $125 + fees each) as ticket prices are going up to $200 plus fees.

    http://www.lvrj.com/blogs/vegasvoice/ENTERTAINMENT_Brooks_tickets_going_up_110.html

Ticket prices for all seats are going up to $253 (including fees) starting with the country superstar’s first anniversary dates during the National Finals Rodeo, Dec. 3-5.

The first year price of $143 still holds for Brooks’ dates Nov. 19-21.

We would still consider going again if we could get really, really great seats...but suddenly it's less appealing, even if it's the best show I've ever seen in Vegas. Not really surprised though - tickets were (relatively) cheap until now.
