extra APD added this month , Volcanos in Iceland , ect ect . it is all adding to the cost . also won't the VAT increase in January effect things as well ?

Hmmmm, so the best time for me to book them is probably now. I've found flights with US Airways for £523 each.:)

We usually fly that route too. We have paid £525 for next year. Exactly £100 more than this time. (We're in Las Vegas right now.) I track the flight prices with Kayak and the lowest I've seen since I booked is £518. I don't look to torture myself, just to get an idea of the trends. I'm sad like that.

When I booked before, I kept track of flight prices too (I know they say it's best not to) but I never found any cheaper than the ones I'd booked. Hope you're having a great time.:)

We've stayed at the Bellagio 3 times and MGM once, intend on staying at the Bellagio again in april as well! I don't think the rooms are dated, more 'classic?!' each time we've tipped reception and had an upgrade to a Fountain room, believe me it is so worth it, views on a night are fantastic and the fountains themselves hypnotising.

I agree that the fountain view is stunning - it's what made Bellagio for us - we would have felt it was overpriced for what it was otherwise I think (we only stayed one night). It's a great location at a nice hotel. I personally don't think the Bellagio is all that, but I know that a lot of people do - just really down to personal preference...I don't think there's anything wrong with Bellagio - it just didn't really do much for us as a hotel - other than the awesome view.

We really like Encore, but this time did find the trek from the room got a bit annoying even if time-wise it was not that long...based on comments here we're going to try Palazzo or Venetian next trip for a few nights - may be worth looking into at least to see what you think. As they are all-suite hotels, and while some may say they aren't true suites, they look pretty nice to us...I keep looking at the virtual tours online. :)

No one can say really...given that we can't go the CCE route anymore (I will miss the convenience of having the cash turn up at our door for sure) we might consider buying some of our dollars shortly for our March trip...inevitably whatever we do it will be the wrong thing and I will kick myself.

I totally forgot. We have a part used (didn't use much) Las Vegas Advisor Member Rewards Book - if anyone is going before the end of the year and wants it pm me with a number between 1 and 50 (for tiebreaking purposes). I'll send trets the number now so it's clearly fair. I'll leave it open until Sunday evening and post it Monday morning to the person with the closest number. :)

We are looking in to booking a Las Vegas trip next May/June. The only way we can go is to take our kids. We're planning to use our Tesco vouchers with Virgin.

My first question is whether you think its a good idea to take kids to Las Vegas (age 12 & 9). Bearing in mind we cant go otherwise!

My second question is which hotel you think would be most suitable? Initially i thought Circus Circus may be a good option (and cheaper!) but the reviews are not good. Mandalay Bay looks good but would you recommend this with children?

The price with Virgin is £3500, we've got nearly £1500 in Tesco deals, so that leaves £2k to pay. I'm aware that sometimes you have to weigh up whether its worth paying full prices with Tesco vouchers, as sometimes finding a deal or booking flights & accommodation seperately can work out cheaper. However i think paying £2k for 7 nights for 2 adults & 2 kids inc taxes & transfers wasnt too bad.

PH Towers, Luxor & MGM Grand prices are similar to Mandalay Bay, does anyone feel any of these would be better?

Any other advice gratefully recieved :)

Does anyone agree that i am not totally wasting my Tesco Vouchers?

I'm a total Las Vegas novice but hubby and i have wanted to go for years.

Ok - so as I guess you know you would have to book/redeem these like now, as after 6th of dec will only get 3 times the deal, and also £525 per person....

Personally, I dont think the figures you are currently talking about are worth it - the best bet for you would be to cash the deals into goldsmith vouchers, and either sell the vouchers, or sell items you can buy with the vouchers on ebay. Use this cash towards the holiday...im going to make a rough guess you could get about £1000 at very very least back..... and then do the holiday significantly cheaper. Price up flights, and see what difference you are looking at. Id recommend MGM Signature, you could get a 2 bed suite with room for you all.

We used T vouchers with virgin and i was surprised at how cr*p they were...thomas cook was much better, which really surprised me, the virgin flights are rubbish (im really not fussy), and thought everyone here was maybe being a bit OTT, but having flown the London to New York route, then Vegas to London, there is a world of difference!

The fact that you are considering circus Circus and Luxor suggests you are still very early in your research.... price it seperatly, and do a bit more research...but id def recommend seperate for you.
