I done Vegas and San Fran and would recommend as everyone else has done do it seperate, nowadays its so easy and not that hard to sort out.

I stayed at Coventry Motor Inn in SF was $99 a night but the main reason was free parking, if you gonna hire a car in SF that i recommend it as car parking in SF is expensive. The hotel was nice (a little dated) but on Lombard Street so walking distance to Fishermans Whalf.

That reminds me, need to get my report up :D

I procrastinated to arrange travel insurance first and lost a price of 1000euro for TWO flying from DUB-LAS-SFO-DUB, up to 1450 now.:(

Might this have happened because I clicked on it too often driving up perceived demand?
  • Thanx a lot for the information on KA, harrisab...

I´ll keep looking for any PROMO´s on "O". If anyone knows of anything, please advise.

of course Dublin flights to USA won't have the extra APD lumped on them like what UK flights do . and not sure of the demand in Ireland as they are going through the mill in terms of their economy ( well so my morning paper says )

surely worth investigating if you can get you and your luggage there cheaply .

i had half a eye on booking a free ferry crossing to Ireland with my club card vouchers for a short break . maybe might work out as a better idea to catch a plane afterwards as well for someone
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

We are looking in to booking a Las Vegas trip next May/June. The only way we can go is to take our kids. We're planning to use our Tesco vouchers with Virgin.

My first question is whether you think its a good idea to take kids to Las Vegas (age 12 & 9). Bearing in mind we cant go otherwise!

My second question is which hotel you think would be most suitable? Initially i thought Circus Circus may be a good option (and cheaper!) but the reviews are not good. Mandalay Bay looks good but would you recommend this with children?

The price with Virgin is £3500, we've got nearly £1500 in Tesco deals, so that leaves £2k to pay. I'm aware that sometimes you have to weigh up whether its worth paying full prices with Tesco vouchers, as sometimes finding a deal or booking flights & accommodation seperately can work out cheaper. However i think paying £2k for 7 nights for 2 adults & 2 kids inc taxes & transfers wasnt too bad.

PH Towers, Luxor & MGM Grand prices are similar to Mandalay Bay, does anyone feel any of these would be better?

Any other advice gratefully recieved :)

Does anyone agree that i am not totally wasting my Tesco Vouchers?

I'm a total Las Vegas novice but hubby and i have wanted to go for years.

    .

Just keep an eye out for the reduced value of Tesco vouchers after 6th Dec, you might need to book before then to get the best deal.
