    WEDDINGS:
Through your own experience, can anyone recommend somewhere ?
I want to do the outside gazebo wedding, have limo pick us up, fresh flowers, and digital photos on CD (20 or 30), guests would be like 6 people....
I done some reading on the Shalimar wedding chapel (chapel bit is inside the Howard Johnson hole of a hotel) which does the outside gazebo, and reviews do seem ok apart from the odd few with complaints...... a decent price (i have budgeted £370 /$565 for the total, and that includes the license fee at $60)
    Any news peeps ? :)

We got married in the Luxor, :Twhich although wasnt the gazebo thingy, it was lovely. I booked everything on the net before we arrived and they did all of it, bouquet, buttonhole, minister, photographer and provided me and OH with seperate rooms to get ready in before we met in their chapel. About £600 I think, another option for you...............

    Hi all,

Im new on here but see theres a lot of knowledgable people on here, so wondering if someone can help me

im having my stag do in vegas next march (wedding 30th april), and am trying for early march for a couple of reasons 1. a couple of friends are over there 4th to 12th for a wedding and they cant afford to go twice
and 2. to coincide with spring break over there.

The problem i have is trying to get a direct flight from manchester for these dates. i dont know if im looking in the wrong places or they just dont do direct flights til later in the year.

were wanting to stay at imperial palace - purely for its location so if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great. cheers

Thomas Cook don't start their direct flights that early, and Virgin aren't starting till late March I think as well.
There are a couple of options regarding flights with connections (we actually prefer them to direct) can vouch for AA as they have some good flights, and of course they do tend to be cheaper.
IP is a reasonable choice on a budget but have a look at Bills Gambling hall as well, some very good reviews of the place and a notch above IP
Also they don't really have a spring break in Vegas, it is March Madness because of the NCAA basketball playoffs, totaly different vibe to SB in say South Beach
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

We're going back for our second trip to Vegas in April combined with a few days in San Francisco.

Planning on staying central strip this time as we plan to do more in Vegas itself instead of trips outside Vegas. Looking at booking Treasure Island in one of the Petite Suites (currently avilable with 35% off through code available on twitter).

The problem is the flights. Obviously its a multi city trip going from London to San Francisco, then Las Vegas to London (I can book the internal flight seperately easy enough). Virgin Atlantic is coming up at £645 while British Airways via American Airlines codeshare is coming up as a slightly more reasonable £588. I'm not a fan of British Airways Terminal 5 but £645 is a lot of money for Virgin! Decisions decisions!]

Edit - Should mention flying Sunday 17th April to SF, Return depature flight leaving Thursday 28th April to London

After much deliberation we opted for the BA flights. They went up in price to £620 in the end and after reserving seats its even more! But guess that balances out from last time when I managed to not pay any extra for the premium economy upgrade.

Commencing count down... Just over 6 months to go!

Yes if you want seats reserved more then 24 hours in advance.

Its £20 per person per flight! If you want twin seats (the few double seats together) it's £30 per person for those. Previously you weren't able to reserve seats until 24 hours before but there was no charge and they still don't charge if you wait until 24 hours before checkin to pick your seats.

Exit seats are available 4-14 days before checkin at a cost of £50 per person. So yes, I reluntantly paid to reserve seats but its one less thing to worry about, especially as neither of us like flying. I can pay the difference to upgrade to exit seats if they are available so thats what I plan on doing closer to time. Its certainly not money saving!

scary stuff! On virgin flight for vegas (and return leg from Orlando) for next year, i logged on and selected the 2 seats at the back of the plane... although it doesnt your guaranteed to get them, it has marked me in those 2 chairs, and no mention of a cost!
Although the plan is to try and be a bit cheeky and see if i can move us into bigger chairs ;) especially on the way back as i'll be married then!

Yes managed to do the same on the Virgin flight last year and get the seats at the back that are together for free. However as we're flying to multiple citys this time the Virgin flights aren't that good since they land and take off from different London airports and were slightly more expensive anyway. Plus I think the BA flights have better onboard entertainment.

I selected the 2 seats at the back aswell for our flight with Virgin next May and am sure there was no extra charge, will these seats be guaranteed or does it depend on when you check in?

i believe these seats are reserved for you, until a few hours (don't know exactly) after online check-in has opened.
