SeptemberHave been doing lots of searching since I asked the other day and have found direct flights with BA from london-vegas then back from san francisco-london for £554 each. From what I have read on here I am assuming this is a good deal? Started looking at some hotels and am stuck between The Bellagio, Signature @ MGM and the Venetian, all a similar price for when we want to go. Anyone got any recommendations of which of those is best? thanks0

When are those flights for? I couldnt see any BA flights for less than £585 next year when I looked the other day. It does look a decent price as it seems they will be a lot more next year.
As for hotels, I havent stayed in any of those, although I have stayed at Pallazzo (I think that would be better choice than Venetian just cause it is newer and part of same hotel)
Depends where you want to be on the strip but I assume you are looking for a high end hotel ? Venetian is often available for around $119 a night and Signature $99 a night so dont know how that compares to what you have found
Edit
Just sen your other post and see it is honeymoon next sep.
Hotel prices are best value generally about 3 months before that, of course no harm in booking a room with hotel making sure it is fully refundable and then looking for better deal nearer the time0 -
SeptemberThey are for 6th and 20th september next year. As it is our honeymoon we plan to splash out a bit, yes. Would like to stay on the strip really, have you got any suggestions? thanks again0

For a honeymoon, you wouldnt be disappointed with any of your 3 choices.
Bellagio is more centre strip, but you would really want a Lake view room IMO to make the best of it.
Venetian is also on the strip and location is ok
IMO the Signature is not so good location wise and is set back behind MGM, it is also a condo hotel meaning you get a kitchen etc which you may or may not want on a honeymoon, I know I wouldnt. Having said that there are a few on here who love the Signature..Stoneman comes to mind0 -
SeptemberThanks photome, will just browse around for the best prices I think and see what comes up. Think I better get those flights booked though as it seems a good deal0

I am sorry to say this but the more I look at it I can not see why people invested so much money in a company that was not bonded. I mean, to give a company over 30K of your money knowing you have no comeback if they go bust?
Amazing what the thought of getting a couple of cents more for your £ will get people to risk. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
AprilThat was the trick. They did not allow you to pay on a CC besause the guy knew it would go down the pan eventually and insisted in cash or bank transfer.
I don't think that they didn't accept cards because they somehow would end up better out of it though...if they had accepted cards, the customer would have got a charge back from the card issuer/Visa/Mastercard, and then the card issuer/Visa/Mastercard would be a creditor of CCE...so CCE wouldn't have been any better off in this situation having accepted cards, though the customer would have been.
I do feel very lucky having ordered for delivery less than a week before all this happened...we did know it was risky (we didn't order with them for ages because we read all the articles that cautioned against using them) and this last order was our biggest ever after 2 positive experiences earlier in the year.
I really feel so sad for those who have lost so much...I'm sure I read somewhere here that someone had £90k tied up - payment on a holiday or retirement home?Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
October , Novemberwe off next week and just wondering if anyone has had luck with $20 trick at the venetian! It's our first time in Vegas and are there to celebrate DH's 40th.
Any help/tips very much appreciated!0
