October , Novemberhey
could anyone help me? Im still trying to use restaurant,.com gift certs that i purchased for myself. They are in my account, but I dont know how to use them to buy gift certs for vegas restaurants.
Regards
Spike
You need to click on the redeem a gift tab, it will then ask you to enter your gift certificate reference number. Once you have done that a message should pop up on the screen saying "CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE X amount of $ to spend" you can then add the certs for the places you want to your basket and the cost will be deducted from your total.
Hope this helps! when reading it back it seems a bit muddled!0 -

SeptemberTrip Report 21st Sept - 1st Oct
This was mine and hubbys third trip to Vegas and my parents second. Travelled down to Gatwick the night before & stopped at Gatwick Airport Travelodge for £9 and parked at APH car park the next morning which I think was just over £80 with the Direct Line discount. Flights out were with Virgin for £460 each, flight was on time IFE worked fine etc but heard the lads (who were surprisingly quite to say there were 6 of them) that were set near us saying they had run out of beer after about 4 hours ish but apparently had everything else this didn’t bother us as were not that fussed when on the plane (off is another thing though J.)
Day 1
Arrived on time and jumped in a taxi to Signature came in at $13ish before tip if I remember right. Checked in and all requested had been met, we were on the 38th floor in tower 2. Hotel was fabulous as usual, no padded mattresses on the sunbeds now though which I was a little disappointed with. We were also given access to a laundry room which we have never been given before, we didn’t use it but I suppose someone would. Unpacked a little that went for a wander to Monte Carlo had a drink in a bar in there then headed back to MGM. Stopped at food court on way back and had a quick maccys as we couldn’t be bothered sitting down for a meal just wanted something quick. Crashed at about 10:30pm ish.
Day 2
Cat napped most of the night and gave in at 5am had a couple of hours watching tv and had a bite to eat in room then headed out. Caught monorail to Harrahs then walked to Fashion Show Mall ready for it opening so the boys could have a quick look in Dillards to see how much they were dishing Ralph Lauren polos out for, they bought a couple each then we jumped in a taxi to Prem Outlet. After many hours and plenty of shopping bags later we headed home and had an hour by the pool with a few drinks then quick wash and out to Planet Hollywood. Ate at Blondies food was good but service was just ok we’ve been before and it has always been good but it was only ok this time to be honest.
Day 3
Chilling day today stopped by pools. Started at main MGM pools as they have the sun first thing then headed to the Signature at 11ish ready for the sun popping over the towers at 11.30ish. Went to Forum Shops at night and ate at Cheesecake Factory which was delish as usual. Got some cake to go as we were far to full to have any there.
Day 4
Woke up about 8ish had some brekkie in Delights then jumped in a taxi to the other outlet (Mandalay end) was ok got a few bargins so worth going to see (loved the saks shop!!!) but I don’t think I would rush back unless I had a car that is. Had a few hours by the pool when we got back then went to PF Changs for tea which was beautiful! Had a drink in a bar in PH then walked back using the short cut down the side of the box office place in MMile back to the Signature.0 -
SeptemberDay 5
Another chilling day by the pool topping up our tans! Went over to NYNY at night for a meal went to Gallaghers which was excellent one of the best meals I have ever had in here. I don’t eat red meat but hubby says the steak is to die for. Had few drinks in Irish bar and a go on a few slots before heading back to the Sig.
Day 6
Had a full day out today and walked from Sig to Fashion Show Mall stopping here there and everywhere along the way. Has crepes and drinks at Jean Philippe in Bellagio which were very very nice milkshakes were gorge but my god it wasn’t cheap!!!!! By hey we were on our jollys! And stopped off at Gilleys bar at TI if I remember right the beers weren’t to badly priced in here. Finally made it to FSM where we had a “few” hours round the shops (the boys had ditched us by this point and gone to Maggies to book a table and have beers) met up with them about 7ish and set down for a meal about 8ish after much messing about with the woman who had taken the reservation long story but basically she was a bit dim and thought that because we had the same surname as someone else who had made a reservation around the same time she decided we must be together then tried to make us wait for another hour which we told her I don’t think so!!!! Meal was beautiful we love it in there and apart from the girl on the front desk the service was excellent.
Day 7
After our very long day out the day before we decided to have another day by the pool and used some of the drinks credit we had. At night jumped onto the monorail to Harrahs and stopped at Casino Royal for $1 drinks then walked down to Venetian had a mooch round the shops and went to Grand Lux for tea. Never been before but it was lovely and Ferf I thank you for recommending the Asian Nachos as they were soooooooo nice I loved them! Stopped off at Sephora on the way back to the monorail and watched the Volcano as we had never managed to catch it before.
Day 8
Got up early and went back to the Prem Outlet to get a few things that we had seen the first time we went that we weren’t sure whether to get or not then had a few hours by the pool then a quick change and back to the FSM to get a bag from Saks that I decided I “needed” (I managed a record 8 bags this trip!)Decided to try Stripburger whilst we were back down there after all the good reviews on here but I can’t say I was that impressed it was nice and service was good etc but it was just meh I don’t know it just didn’t really do it for me. I’m not saying I would never go back but I wouldn’t rush back. Took a steady walk back down to Harrahs and had an hour on the slots in there then headed back to Sig and grabbed a HagDaz to take back to the room with us.
Day 9
Another pool day using the rest of our drinks credit (how I love those Pina Coladas!) then Mon Ami for tea using the MMile short cut. Meal was nice but the view was amazing will defo go back here at some point! The fountains are one of my fave things about Vegas so I was in my element here it was brilliant. Went to Paris about 5ish and had a few drinks in one of the bars in the casino (has some seriously killer Vodka Martinis J) then went for a table about half 6 ish there was a ½ wait to sit on the patio so we just had a couple of drinks at the bar whilst we waited. Then we got our table and we couldn’t have asked for a better one… slap bang in the middle but not on the front row so we weren’t right in passer bys view which we thought was better, it just seemed perfect for our first visit. Had a stroll back to MGM and a go on the slots on the way back to the room.0 -
SeptemberDay 10
Woke up to a cloudy sky so decided to go for a wander to Ross mum got quite a few bits and I got a top I guess its like TKMaxx you either drop on stuff or you don’t. Walked back to MGM and had brekkie in Studio Caf! was lovely but wasn’t cheap (saying that it was the drinks that seemed to get us rather than the food.) By this time the sun had come out so we went for a few hours by the pool. Couldn’t decide where we all wanted to go for tea so we just walked over to NYNY looked at Irish bar but I wasn’t sure about it (am fussy haha) so we decided on America (I think that’s what it was called) which was very average defo wouldn’t go back it had no atmosphere and the people that worked there seemed a little strange to be honest I don’t think any of us were that hungry either which didn’t help! Had a quick go on the slots then walked over to Monte Carlo as we thought there must have been more to it that what we saw the first day but much to our disappointment there wasn’t, me and hubby had somehow never managed to get in on our trips before but I don’t think we have been missing much really.
Day 11
Sad sad day we had to go home L even Vegas was even upset as it was raining. Flight was 1 ½ hours delays from Gatwick so we had an ½ hour delay which turned into over an hour as some woman and her mate were 20min late (why do they wait for people does my head in that) we then missed our slot and sat on the run way for at least ½ hour waiting for another which was horrible as it was red hot there was no cool air at all. Once we finally got off everything was ok for us but a lot of people must have been having probs with the IFE as they did an announcement over the tannoy about it and that they were on with it but they were really short staffed as 2 ended up having to stop back as one of the air hostesses (this was before the flight though and didn’t delay us) took ill and ended up getting stretchered from the airport by paramedics (hope she was ok) and they also let another hostess stop with her so she wasn’t on her own. Other than that the flight was uneventful only got one recliner out of the 4 whooooo and managed to get about 3 hours solid sleep, I find the flight back so much easier as its more quite its dark and the hostesses aren’t up and down with food and drink every 2 min (that drives me mad on the way out) oh and it was over an hour shorter (well it would have been.) Then it was the long drive home!
Other bits…
Still love the Sig if we do go back next year am almost 100% we will be back there again got half me resort fee knocked off as we didn’t get water 2 days which was a bonus.
There was a power cut one day cant remember which for about 1-2 hours which according to staff was caused by workers on Cosmopolitan cutting through something they shouldn’t have (oooops) apparently it affected Sig and a few other. Was so funny watching everyone running round like nutters. They even put free food on like people couldn’t cope haha.
For any sun worshippers out there like me I noticed from our balcony that Westgate pool has the sun nearly all day and was only starting to get shade at about 5.30pm.
Sorry its so long I got on a roll haha!
Thanks again for everyones contributions we wouldnt do half of what we do when we go if it wasnt for this thread!0 -
October , NovemberHi to all,
I am looking to book a hotel for myself, partner and our nine year old son for Vegas next year, can anyone just give me a bit of advice.
If I book a hotel do I book a room for 2 adults and 1 child or do I book the hotel for two people and then ask for a room with two queen size beds, the only reason I ask this is that there is a difference in price from two to three people.
Do all the hotels let children stay for free if they are in the same room as two paying adults.
Would there be any problems when booking in at the hotel if I just book a room for two.
When do prices become available for October 2011.
Thanks for any info.0 -

I answered this same question in post 7438 a couple of pages back0 -
I have never payed for my son. We always book a 2 bed room admittedly we usually book at a hotel where kids under 12 are free and then we dont tell them his age (he is 15 now), they never ask at check in how old he is. I always check in alone.
This year we atyed at Wynn where they wanted an extra $50 a night for him, so I paid for a room for 2 and then requested via facebook a 2 queen room, they didnt gtee it but I did get one, no questions were asked.
If I hadnt got a 2 queen room I would have asked housekeeping for bedding for the sofa bed (if there was one) or a roll away
There you go
Flight prices available in Nov for Oct 2011.
No all hotels dont let kids stay free but see above. check on hotels website if they are free or not, if you are not comfortable with the above, but it really isnt a problem.0
