What about when you use the pool etc...Do the kids need room keys too? Security at the lift etc...

    How old are they.

My son is always with one of us so the key issue isnt a problem. No they dont need a seperate key to get in pool if they are with you

If yours are old enough to be on their own (most pools dont let kids under 14 in if they are not with an adult ) you could ask for another key the next day saying you lost one, or give them one of your 2 keys, surely you wont be split up all the time

Prima is great if you stay at the MGM (except the upgrade is NOT GUARANTEED!!!! and the longer the atay the better it is, but the more problematic the upgrade can be). They also do the Prima thing at the Signature but the erpks are a lot less "valuable".

No one said it was gteed, they have the usual "subject to availabilty "get out clause. but in a hotel the size of MGM you could assume that it should be available, altho I am aware there are not many spa suites on each floor

Maybe that is why they got the room upgrade, I know i have never been successful at MGM (the only place I havent been)

    Just read your next post

LOL that is quite funny. Sorry I am not laughing at the OP but it does seem that the $20 tip was paid for nothing although of course there is the get out clause of subject to availability. I thought a $20 tip for a 2 week upgrade to a suite was to good to be true

My point was that after being told that there were no upgrades available with the Prima offer I passed my ID and $20 over and suddenly a upgrade became available

Hi I have been planning my first trip and this forum has taught me so much! Please can you help with a couple of questions - we are going end of October and back on November 1st and can't get a handle on what weather to expect - am I packing for the heat?
We are going for my 40th and staying in the bellagio for 5 nights - should I mention my birthday to try and get an upgrade and should I try with $20 or more?
Oh yes final thing - will there be Halloween celebrations there?
    Thank you

ok, so it's clear that despite Prima being going for the guts of a year you have no idea of how a good offer can turn sour quickly. As the original poster mentions, they were told there were no upgrades available until the cash was flashed. When setting up Prima the MGM group clearly only considered the 1/2/ night stays most Americans go for, rather than the 7-14 stays Brits are liable to do. As soon as you start mentioning 7-14 days its amazing how full the hotel suddenly becomes...as the upgrade is worth $100's. If you book a standard tower room for a lengthy stay thinking you are really going to get a free upgrade simply from committing spending $500 within the MGM (which isn't a hardship given the length of stay) you would be well peed off maybe getting stuck in a room you would not normally have gone for.

This is what the offer was this time last year, and unfortunately its what you will still find as listed on the MGM site, so you need to be eagle eyed to notice it was for bookings up to Dec 1999.

Daily average highs and lows here.

You can google Vegas Halloween 2010 for info on what events are taking place.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
