I have just looked at the fleet and see that Cosmic Girl is one of the newest 747 with a different configuration.

Cosmic Girl is also a 2001 plane but not part of the Italia deal so got a decent IFE system.

Yeah it last flew there before summer - there's is a nice little graphic that shows all the routes its flown rather than scrolling down the long list of flights. I did notice 2 flights from LHR - LGW and back again. Maintenance presumably?

Just been reading about the different IFE and that cancelled Italia order, things are looking up or at least they were in FEb this year when they anounced the upgrades.

I guess anyone on here looking for vegas info thinks they have stumbled on the wrong thread.

    sorry guys

Don't worry about it - 7056 posts, the majority of which are pretty worthless and hide the posts that are important. Sure it wouldn't be the same if it didn't take a new user of the site a week or two to go through all 350+ pages

Dont Tell the Bride on BBC3 tonight at 9pm is going to be in Vegas. Might be good for anyone going to get married there.

I love seeing Vegas on the tv - gets me all excited seeing places Ive been!! :j

Firstly - thank you so much! I also love seeing Vegas on TV, and so much of it is really old so nice to see something new.

Secondly - how on earth is it that I have never heard about this show in general before?! I am the lowest common denominator when it comes to this sort of thing - it's right up my street.

Thirdly - my husband is as displeased with you right now as I am pleased. :)

Right this might sound a strange request be here goes.

Would there be a way i can store a suitcase (small) in Vegas for a week or so? We are staying in the signature for 9 days then going to SF/LA and back to Vegas for 3 days. The small suitcase would be the wedding dress as we only need it for the wedding dont fancy dragging it all over San Fran and Hollywood/LA if i can help it.

Any ideas? It is an expensive one so needs to be 100% safe

    thanks

You could check the price going USPS.

    http://ircalc.usps.gov/

Priority Mail® International Large Flat Rate Box
    USPS Supplied Large Box: 12" x 12" x 5 1/2".
    Maximum weight 20 pounds.

    $2000 insurance

    $78.35

If the box is too small you could price up options using a larger box (though would obviously have to get a larger box).

Not sure about customs charges coming back into the UK (as it's your own personal belongings I'd imagine you could avoid that - I did when I moved here by declaring stuff as personal belongings - though that was a long time ago).

But ultimately sending it by any means would be a risk...I guess you have to decide if an insurance payout would be enough for you or if losing the dress or having it damaged would not make it worth it.

Any chance anyone is coming for the wedding who could bring it back with them?

For anyone who got this deal on BA.com well done!!

I have just checked again after being tempted yesterday, although I wouldnt want 10 nights at the signature.

The deal that was £625 yesterday is just under £2300 today, plus another £325 to uprade to a 1 bed suite (was free yesterday).

So a holiday that was £1800 in total yesterday, (which had to be a mistake) is now just under £7000,or £7300:eek: for the 1 bedroom suite which also has to be a mistake as that is way over the top for 3 people.

It is also now £1846 per person for 10 nights at CC, that cant be right!!

Sorry to keep going on but just checked the flight prices for that same time, yesterday they were £585 each today they are £1839 each !!!!!

I just tried it again, got a total of £5293 for 5 Adults, 4 children at Signature, 3 one bed suites for 10 nights

    £588 per person

No just the 2 of us, thinking about it a bit longer we may now not do it as having a party when we come back and she wants to wear it again so does not wanna take the risk. Thank you for the search though.

Have anyone used Fatwallet for car rentals, there seems to be loads of codes there too

I haven't looked but would imagine that they will not include all the insurance you would get included hiring from a UK 3rd party...so may look cheap, but loads of add-ons when you get there.
