Just went ahead and booked the 2nd Mez - happy with the seats - centre section, half way back, a few seats in...figure for $45 we'd lose a lot more than that in the slots in 90 mins...even after all the fees.
Thanks for posting this. Have just booked a couple of tickets for 2nd Mezz too.0 -
AugustEvening everyone
Off to London tomorrow for our flight Friday!
Just wondering if anyone can tell me what the charges are like if I use a phone card from somewhere like Walgreens to call home from the phone in the suite as opposed to the payphones? I'm assuming there is a connection fee.
I'm staying at MB if anyone has done it there in particular.0 -
AprilThanks Ferf ,
I have checked out the Venetian and yes a lot of similar descriptions coming up, BUT.... is it worth taking a chance?
£ 750 for 7 nights in the Venetian sounds cheap but only if it is that hotel. Has anyone booked this way before with Bookit.com. Totaly freaking out now cos i should have booked this ages ago. 16 days and counting.
If it really is a 5-diamond resort, then in theory it can only be one of the 5-diamond resorts listed by AAA I would think...so as long as you would be happy with any of them then go for it...unless they're using 5-diamond in a different way (which I'm not sure they would be allowed to) but obviously totally up to you and no one can say for absolute certain which it is. You could book one night, see what it is, then book the rest?
Maybe someone has some experience with bookit.com specifically - it's always a gamble if you go for the secret/undercover option.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I don't ever remember a connection fee for the card itself, could be that there is one but it cannot be much - local and toll free calls are included within the resort fee at MB...so I can't see what benefit there would be using a payphone.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Yay! We should have coordinated to go the same night.I can't remember if you or Luci has been before in the 2nd mezz? I'm sure one of you has and said that the seats were plenty good enough for the price.

Oh excellent so any calls I make within LV won't cost me? That would be great because I've got a few wedding calls to make when we get there!0 -
SeptemberWe're going on our first trip to Vegas, to get married (I know, yawn
) 2 weeks today. Long story short my future MIL has not booked her travel yet. She's wanting to fly from Edinburgh via as few connections as possible (and preferrably not via London as she got lost in Heathrow once!).
Due to her finances she won't be able to book till next week - currently it looks like Continental will be her best bet (Edin-Newark, Newark-Vegas). Not the cheapest at £823 return, but she'd be happy to pay that if it's the easiest option.
Does anyone have any good/bad experiences of Continental long haul flights?
Does anyone have any other clever routes she could use?
Our wedding is Sun 12 Sept, so as long as she is in Vegas for then, I'd appreciate any suggestions......
Thanks in advance, I've been lurking on here for a while and found out lots of useful info .... hopefully I'll be just as knowledgable once I've actually been:o
Also if anyone has good poker room suggestions for the OH then that'd be good. He's wanted to play poker in Vegas for 4yrs (since winning some good hands in Atlantic City) but hasn't done any research yet as to where to play!! His side of the family are very disorganised.£2.00 Savers Club 2015 £0 / £144 (1st Jan 2015)0 -

Apriljust wanted to say to all those who are about to depart shortly and Boa who is on her way to have great trips (and great weddings!) and let us know how it was when you get back...many of us love reading trip reports no matter how long or short and it's always nice to hear about things others did in Vegas - many of our favorite things are things we read about here or other forums we may have missed otherwise.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
