    take a cool shower , then go off and explore and have a unhurried walk around . do something active , don't chill out on the bed or by the pool and flake out .

    have a early dinner , say about 6pm ish and avoid alcohol until an hour before you go to bed , which we try to make around 9-10 pm on the 1st night . don't book any shows first night .

    Decent enough advice for a flight that lands early afternoon, but the OP clearly says their flight lands at 7:00pm!!

    Just re-booked the Mirage for our exact same dates in November and saved $241.92 using this link.

    The Mirage doesn't get much cheaper than this:

    This year we are flying non stop with British Airways ( hopefully with pending strikes }

    But what I would like to know is what do you reccomend to help combat jetlag , as by my recconing we land at 3am our time ,after starting our trip at 9.am, so what is best , ie sleeping , eating ,drinking ,films etc.

    How have you done it and how did you feel at the other end.
    As soon as you get on the plane set your watch to Vegas time and sleep when your time tells you to. I also take one teaspoon of Benylin Original cough mixture, knocks me out for the count:j
    The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    Great fin and sounds interesting, but add on the $15 a day + tax "resort" fee and it ain't so great.
    I won't stay in a hotel that charges this con fee.

    I'm so excited but so impatient! We aren't going until June next year (as part of our honeymoon) and we really want to book our hotel, but all the offers only go up to March 2011. I know if I wait a few months then we can book at a better rate, but I'm soo excited and want to book it now!

    Was it really only two posts ago that you came up with the excellent advice

    "Yosemite is pretty much a full days drive from SF from our experiance"

    Was that driving via LA?

    Alternatively you could have just read the original post and answered the question they asked rather than the one you thought they asked.

    Sorry for mine too since, upon rereading, I also did not answer the question that was asked. Well done, stoneman, for your superior reading comprehension. ;)
    Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
