    This year we are flying non stop with British Airways ( hopefully with pending strikes }

    But what I would like to know is what do you reccomend to help combat jetlag , as by my recconing we land at 3am our time ,after starting our trip at 9.am, so what is best , ie sleeping , eating ,drinking ,films etc.

    How have you done it and how did you feel at the other end.

    we normally stay up as late as we can our first night...usually still up by 4 or am first morning, but we're OK with that...over the trip we eventually sleep a bit later each day.

    When we get home (usually about noon walking in the door), we normally shower and nap for a few hours, then get up and try our hardest to stay up until 10pm.

    One of the things we like about Vegas is with the exception of shows, high end restaurants and some shopping, we can do most things we want to do 24-hours a day. :)
    Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    wow, so many people (from here) going to Vegas that could be affected by the strikes, I hope it all goes well and things get resolved ASAP! :)

    BA strikes, volcano's and now BAA strike (threats) have made this an awful year to be a flyer! :(

    I'm flying out on the morning of the 29th Aug for two nights, its a surprise birthday treat to my wife for her 30th. I would be so annoyed if the strike went ahead. I've booked a package deal through expdia staying at the Wynn and flying out with continental airlines to Boston and united airlines to LV and returning on Continental and air Canada via Toronto (I know its going to be a journey and half but flight wise had no other options) will I be covered by insurance if the strike went ahead?:mad:

    don't sleep when you finally get checked in .

    take a cool shower , then go off and explore and have a unhurried walk around . do something active , don't chill out on the bed or by the pool and flake out .

    have a early dinner , say about 6pm ish and avoid alcohol until an hour before you go to bed , which we try to make around 9-10 pm on the 1st night . don't book any shows first night .
    Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

    Just re-applied for mine and Al's ESTA...both instantly approved....I'm a happy bunny
    Just got train tickets to book and I'd like to do at least 2 more shows as well as the 2 cirque shows I've already booked.....I'm also still twisting OH's arm to do the helicopter over the GC...been to Vegas twice and he chickened out at the last minute both times
