    As for insurance

I always get an annual policy via one of the insurance scraper stickys on the home page.

    Then go for cover/price combination

Dont forget Baggage is usually covered on household policies so you often dont need to pay for extra baggage cover

I've always used Insure and Go...you can insure a couple and up to 4 kids for free
we took 2 16 year olds and 2 18 year olds on our policy and didn't pay anything for them...granted it was to spain but it wouldn't hurt to ask

and in answer to your question Photome....yes I think it was the same person...but can't be arsed to go and check

We use Flexicover. It was great for us when Tony's journey was disrupted.

Our current policy is with them - based on trets' previous recommendation and they seemed to be competitive and offer good cover. We always buy an annual policy as it works out way cheaper for us than per-trip policies, and we don't have to remember to buy insurance each time.

i think i recall someone said origin india was good! only 12 weeks this wednesday!!

That was me I think - we thought it was great, certainly the best Indian we've had in the US. There's a voucher in the LVA Member Reward book this year for 25% off your total bill, and I'd like to try and get back there next trip and use it.

Also really want to go back to Lotus of Siam as they had such awesome Thai food and it's been years.

We have way too many favourites on the food front, it's getting so that we cannot possibly visit them all each trip - or we'd never try anything new...so trying to get a balance. We didn't even have EI ribs last trip! Plus since portions are so large, we often end up skipping a meal as we're still full from the last one.

To many choices, not enough time! :)

just got 2 more restaurant.com vouchers there - origin india $25 and bb kings $50 vouchers for a total of $6! not bad! goodness knows what the food will be like but i think i recall someone said origin india was good! only 12 weeks this wednesday!!

We've decided to try BB Kings with a restaurant.com voucher too. Reviews on Yelp are a bit mixed (although they often are!), but it gets 3.5 stars out of 5 overall (http://www.yelp.com/biz/bb-kings-blues-club-las-vegas) and we liked the sound of the food and the live music, plus the cert specifically says alcohol is included, so we thought it might be a fun place to try one night. Also as it's at the Mirage it's one of the few places on restaurant.com which we can try without having a car. Only just over 7 weeks til we're in Vegas now (woohoo!!), so I'll try and remember to report back to let you know what we thought.

Thanks for the mentions of BB King's - currently considering it...looks like food we would like, and they sell hush puppies (which I looove) as a side. :)
