October , NovemberThanks for the mentions of BB King's - currently considering it...looks like food we would like, and they sell hush puppies (which I looove) as a side.
Never tried hush puppies, although have seen them before on menus in the US - what do they taste like? They kind of look like a cross between a donut and a lump of fried breadcrumbs to me (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hushpuppy) - are they actually nice?!0 -

I think they are...they're a savoury deep fried cornmeal batter, usually slightly oniony...so they pretty much taste like slightly oniony cornmeal batter that's been deep fried.Regularly served as an accompaniment to deep fried fish...and yes, this is likely one of the reasons that America is one of the fattest nations in the world.
I never knew the origin of the name before.
I should note that my English husband thinks they are vile, so may not suit the British palete.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
October , NovemberSpeaking of the Restaurant.com vouchers does anyone have any experience of the Harley Davidson Cafe, do they allow you to use voucher for alcocol? it doesnt state either way on the voucher.
I am trying to decide between the Harley and BB Kings!
Cheers for any advice offered:)
Less than 2 months til we go now and exactly 2 months to the date of our wedding, am really excited now, more about vegas than the wedding really, lol0 -
SeptemberSorry for mine too since, upon rereading, I also did not answer the question that was asked. Well done, stoneman, for your superior reading comprehension.
I have already had my knuckles rapped over another matter!!The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

AprilHey, don't drag me into this. I never made any comment.

Sorry, I wasn't dragging you into it, really...I'd just noticed that you were the only one who got it right the first time.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

JuneI usually go to Vegas from Manchester with Thomas Cook Premium Economy, I've just been looking at their brochure for next year and it looks like they've scrapped PE. I've been checking about and it seems its because of the air passenger duty.
I'm really disappointed about this as we live near Manchester and like to go direct as I'm not a good flyer and like to limit the "ups and downs".
I wondered if I've been a bit slow and everyone who uses this flight already knows about this or am I the bearer of bad news.
Any thoughts fellow TC PE Manchester users.
EDIT
after a bit more research I think the PE cabin is staying and you can pay more for those extra legroom seats, but the full PE "experience" will be ditched.
That sounds better.Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0 -

I read somewhere they have scrapped it to increase the pitch of all seats - to about 31inch *i think* - it was possibly in this thread. I think if the main seats are bigger they won't be too bad
I can only find manchester flights on a Wednesday next year- which is not ideal for us next year as we have a wedding on a Wednesday so wanted to fly out on the Sunday, like last year - i don't suppose you noticed more dates in the brochure?0
