I would check out the cost of alternative ways of getting back on the train. Don't assume the Virgin flight will land as scheduled.

When we were in Vegas in May, I was monitoring the arrival/departure times of both the BA and Virgin flights. For 5 days the Virgin flight was up to 7 hours late in arriving in LAS which consequently made the return departure and arrival 7 hours late.

I think I only saw it on or near scheduled time once.

All those people who chose Virgin over BA because they would arrive in LAS early afternoon were actually arriving a couple of hour later than the BA flight.

Can you not stay overnight with friends the night you land back and get a train next morning?

Wasnt that during the strikes though?

    Have you monitored any since

Its half hour late arriving back in UK this morning

Yes we have and yes they do. We do both have Dollar Express membership though, but that didn't seem to make and difference.

I have added our numbers to a CH3000 booking, and have not added it to a Netflights booking. It didn't seem to make a difference to the person in the kiosk downstairs.

    Thanks :T

I will shut up about it now:D

Just a quickie - you know the way when you sign up fors some players cards you get a few free $ on the slots or pull(s) on a machine that never pays out ...well the missus signed up in the Golden Nugget and won a rather large amount of free slot play on their "rigged" machine tonight. Only the 2nd time someone had won for the lady who filled in the forms (she said she had signed up 1000's of folks). Spent the rest of the night trying to "convert" it to cash in the most economical way! Now to spend it tomorrow!

that's awesome - congrats to your wife! We always do the free pulls when we can, the most cash I have won was $1.25 (Slots a Fun). I would be so excited to win something substantial. :)

Will you have a car? Many of them are off strip.

    Ones we have liked:

    Austin's Steakhouse - Texas Station...several times

Sonoma Cellar - Sunset Station (same menu as Austin's, we prefer Austin's slightly)

Origin India - near Hard Rock...we really, really loved this one

ENVY Steakhouse - near convention centre monorail station...my mother in law still says it's the best steak she's ever had.

Original Pancake House - Green Valley Ranch and other locations...mmmm pancakes.

Triple George Grill - downtown...tried it for the first time last trip and loved it. Will be back without question.

Raffles Cafe - at Mandalay Bay...decent food, nothing spectacular - one of those places that if it were full price you might be a bit annoyed but with a discount it's pretty decent.

Fresh Grill and Bar (previously Tacone) - Miracle Mile Shops, haven't been there since they changed (was totally confused about how I'd bought a voucher for something I had never heard of before) - looks like a larger menu than previously too

    Ben & Jerry's - Miracle Mile too

Ali Baba Lebanese - my husband's mixed grill sort of thing was great...my chicken shawarma was not so great.

Stripburger - naturally...we've decided we're going to pay full price (I KNOW!) for a $25 voucher if we can get any at the beginning of the month.

    Hi

I am trying to find the voucher for Triple George's Grill but with no luck. Anybody help?. Thanks in advance x

The BA strikes? Not sure what difference that would have made to the Virgin flights.

Not sure what you mean. Can you explain please?

It's weird how they sort sometimes, I had trouble finding it when I went to look for it.

Just buying another certificate from there with the 80% off code (I think it was already posted, but it's PLATE until 31st July).

I thought the BA strikes were causing problems with all airlines, dont know why I think that though.

EDIT it wasnt the BA strikes I was thinking about it was the Ash cloud, that must have made a difference altho it may have been clear by the time you were checking

Have you monitored them since you have been back, I cant find a way of checking old arrivals/departures only todays

I have use that Virgin flight about 6 times and always been ontime/early

I recall using Priceline, 5 star is usually Trump or Wynn - but I cant see any option in Priceline to specify "Casino" which people specify to get Wynn. Am I missing something?

not in Priceline. You are thinking of Hotwire.
