I was looking at both and decided I was better off getting the LVA one when I worked out what I was most likely to use, was really impressed with the attraction vouchers and think most people going out there should have a look and see if it suits

    Glad we aren't alone!

I did a spreadsheet showing the cost of each, and listed the savings from the vouchers we KNEW we would use in each and even with the higher cost of the LVA membership it worked out better for us to get it insteand of the ACG. I think that the ACG has gone downhill a bit the last few years, seems it was better a few years ago.

    I am greedy

I always buy both the ACG and the LVA membership, but we do have a car, without a car I probably wouldnt get either.

I only got the ACG from Amazon 2 weeks ago so it was in stock then

Agree with Ferf though the ACG has been steadily going downhill.

I also think it is a personal choice, both sets of coupons can be seen on the respective websites, so do as Ferf does and work out which you would use.

We get them for the buffets as we rarely eat anywhere else

Has anyone done a spa day in Vegas or can recommend anywhere?

    Thanks

Hi, we did the spa at the MGM Grand because we had an offer of free entry. It was lovely & so relaxing, with complementary fruit, water, juices etc. The only slightly dissappointing thing was that the male & female spa's are separate & I would have liked to share the experience with my hubby! The ladies in the spa said that you would not find a unisex spa anywhere on the strip. Apparently this is because clothing is optional!!

If you buy the MRB you automatically get an offer to buy the ACG for $10 from their office. We got one this time just because the $10 free play at El Cortez covered the cost before we used any other coupons. We always used the Ellis Island coupons too, so get our money back several times.

Hey, we didn't get that offer...or I didn't pay enough attention to notice it. :o Must remember to read more closely next time...thanks for the heads up.

We have had years where we have bought both (it's not greedy photome, it's smart. :)) but last time we didn't really feel like we did them justice so stuck to one this year.

The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I love it when a plan comes together :D

I was a bit concerned as we have two nights booked at Ceasars in a decent tower before moving to the Flamingo to a deluxe. I thought it was a bit of a drop and hoped to be able to up-grade to a Go on arrivial if it was $30 dollars but of course there's always the chance they don't have any or want more.

Today on Facebook Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & CasinoBooked a Deluxe Room? Upgrade to our chic, stylish and ultra-modern GO Rooms for just $30/nt when you call 1-800-557-3501 and mention offer code FPRESTAY

As the room is comped I honestly didn't think they'd do it but called anyway -and yes it even applies to comp rooms RESULT (and they didn't even want the money up front) :)

Now the question is......do I try the $20 trick ??????

    DOLLAR EXPRESS

I emailed dollar express to see if I could add my wifes drivers license to my membership. I told them I had already hired the car from a 3rd party in the UK. Their reply was that I cannot use dollar express on a "tour" booking.

This is after they had intialy replied that I could use it on a 3rd party booking, I had this reply today

I apologize for the misinformation that I provided on the original email. You
will not be able to have the Dollar Express pickup. This is because it I a pre
paid tour reservation. We are not able to modify tour reservations. I again
apologize for any inconvenience due to this misinformation.

Hi - I've never tried contacting Dollar (I think pebbles had and never had any joy so I never even tried)...I've always added my Express number to the CH3000 booking either by emailing CH3000 or going into the online page to update booking and so far it's worked. I think that even if it doesn't (i.e they don't have your contract printed and waiting) you can still use the Express booth downstairs...at least I did a few times before I started adding my Express number to the CH3000 booking.

but I have definately used the Express counter on 3rd party bookings - several times in Vegas and Chicago...but again, I never contacted Dollar in advance. In some cases (at ORD only, I think), even if I hadn't updated the booking with CH3000 to include the Express info, Dollar picked it up and I had a car ready and waiting with the contract inside the car (ORD is one of those locations they pre-assign you a car).
