Got back from 1st trip last Friday and LOVED IT; can so see why so many on this board are addicted.
I really want to go back soon as (but fly 1st class LOL)

Flights with BA were pretty lousy, I could not get comfortable, had tall person behind me on way back but could hardly blame him for his knees being in my back the whole way! The food was passable on the way there and disgusting on the way back. Didn’t manage to sleep either way. Flew NCL-Heathrow-Vegas and every flight was delayed – just unlucky – missed connection on way back and then luggage didn’t arrive with us, returned 2 days later.

Loved THE Hotel at MB, checked in with room on 4th floor and no view, moved next day to floor 38 partial strip view, this looked onto airport then left down strip so was pretty good.

The ‘beach’ pool area was great, got busy at weekend but managed to get a ‘chair’ every day, the reserved chairs with extra padding and nicer towels cost between $25-$125 per day depending on how busy hotel was etc, we gave those a miss!! umbrellas were only available in this section at further additional cost, no shade to be had anywhere else, other than cabanas of course. Quite a lot of kids around pool but this didn’t bother us.

Had the breakfast buffet at MB twice and lunch buffet once, all good, we ate nothing else the rest of the day we had lunch!! Amazing view from the Mix bar at the top of the hotel. Also loved the calm atmosphere when you walked through from the hustle of MB into The Hotel. Weren’t asked for the resort fee, we booked in January so weren’t going to pay it, but still got boarding passes printed for free and we didn’t have to give a credit card on check in for extras though we were expecting to do so. Also got free late check out until 12.00.

As there were 3 of us we did tend to get taxis a lot, as traipsing for the tram and then the monorail or whatever just didn’t seem worth it in the scorching heat! As others have said some drivers knew their stuff and others tried to take you for a ride.

Packed a lot in but still so much more we could have and would have liked to do. Ate at Border Grill and used the restaurant.com voucher kindly given to me by Ting Tong – thanks again!!, fully intended to use another for Aureole $50 but we just didn’t get round to it so I will pass that on to anyone who wants it (I’m sure Ting Tong wont mind), it expires 08/08 sorry not much time on it!!

Had lunch twice at Grand Lux Caf!, once in Venetian, once in Palazzo, loved it in there, food was great and the most gorgeous Peach Bellini’s!!

Saw Love, great show, great seats, had back row of main tier ie not the very high ones, great view but we were all freezing in there!! Got good deal on ticket price via this thread.

It really helped that I learned so much on this thread before I went, so many useful tips, now when I am reading it will all make so much more sense, might even be able to help others myself a little now. Thanks everyone I had such a great time....now how can I manage to get back there soon......

Yes, though we didn't buy it this year...it's a better deal for those who will have a car though. And we prefer the Member Rewards Book you get by joining Las Vegas Advisor, but it's more expensive to begin with but we think the coupons included make it better value for us (others will disagree - just depends on which coupons you're likely to use - though there are a couple in the LVA book that will cover the cost of the membership on their own - just depends if you would use them).

On the ACG, they do run out as it's released in November each year and almost every year it's sold out by September at least (possibly earlier) - it's out of stock on amazon.co.uk, there's a chance they won't get anymore in but maybe they will.

Best thing to do is look at the lists of coupons and work out if you will save more than the cost (it's pretty easy to) and if you can find it then go for it - be sure to order the 2010 edition though - I've known people to order an out-of-date one. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I was looking at both and decided I was better off getting the LVA one when I worked out what I was most likely to use, was really impressed with the attraction vouchers and think most people going out there should have a look and see if it suits
