    So torn.

    Trying to decide on hotels for October - have decided (I think) last 3 nights at Wynn (or Encore, don't know yet if the booking would include an upgrade or not)...it's kind of killing me to pay so much (relatively speaking) to stay there as the stay includes a Friday - the night of the Garth show we're seeing - but it makes sense...so options are.

    Bally's + Wynn is the baseline.

    +$55 for Paris
    +$59 for PH (Hollywood Hip)
    +$178 for Caesars (Forum Tower-newest renovation I think)
    +$218 for Caesars (Palace Tower-possible Augustus Tower upgrade as only one step?)

    Anyone care to wade in with 'what I would do' commentary? I kind of think we may end up at Bally's as we know we like it there. I don't think that we would go for Paris as while we enjoyed our stay, we prefer Bally's...so would be silly for us to stay at Paris when it's cheaper to stay at Bally's...I think.

    Too many options! :)

    We just booked the Venetian via Hotwire 26th Sept - 2nd Oct for $109 a night which includes a Friday.

    Be warned though that the Trump hotel is also a five star hotel too. Just make sure you select a five star hotel(north strip) and book the hotel that shows a casino icon(the Trump is a non smoking hotel without a casino) so it's pretty easy to know what your going to get.

    As for upgrades, i'll wing that one when i arrive.

    Agreed with tretts. You'll find all iPods, iPads, iPhones and everything else beginning with 'i' is a set price by Apple. The only advantage a shop can give you would be to throw in freebies (in this country Tesco might offer 500 clubcard points, HMV used to give you a £15 iTunes voucher, some shops give you a case, etc - but the price would generally be the same).

    Not so, I have seen Ipod touches range from £136 to £150+ in this country.
    Kate, have a look on Fry's and Bestbuys website. I found an ipod touch 8GB for around the $194 including tax, Apple store in Vegas is charging $199 + tax. That is about £130. You can get one from Amazon for £136 + free delivery, so is it really worth saving £6.00??
    The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    Be quick Ipod Touch offer on at Tesco credit to Zerbo on PTS

    voucher TDX-JXK4:

    Here's the Breakdown

    Buy the "Apple iPod MC086BT/A Touch 8GB" - for £149.97
    also buy the "Energizer 377 2 Pack Batteries" - for £0.99

    As Ipods touch already have 1500 points on them, add voucher TDX-JXK4 at the checkout and that adds an extra 1000 points as it is over £150.

    Points =
    Ipod touch 1500
    Voucher 1000
    Purchase 300
    Total = 2800

    Cost =
    Ipod touch 8GB = 149.97
    Batteries = 0.99
    Total = 150.96

    No bad if anyone was thinking of buying a Ipod Touch (please note that the Ipod touch points finishes on 22/07/10)

    Tesco points can be used for airmiles and BA miles...helpful if your saving for flights to Vegas.;)

    Thanks for the info...we prefer to book direct with the hotel in Vegas because we do gamble quite a bit so can usually get some/most nights comped and get something knocked off at the end of the stay. I would like to try Venetian one time. I did check our dates and on Hotwire at the moment Venetian is $30 less than our booking at Encore for the Encore dates and I know based on last time we'll likely get $100 or so knocked off the Encore room (and we know we like Encore), so for us it's the better deal I think.

    For the people who have eaten on the patio at MAG, I want to go there for my 50th in Aug and have never been before. What is best way to go about ensuring a patio table

    I think you have all said before you just have to turn up and wait, if that is the case what is a good time to get there, We would like to eat at 7.30 ish

    I've got to agree with Luci - it may be too hot in August though they do have misters I think...just depends on how you handle the heat (we do not handle the heat well at all). We've had anywhere from 20 mins to an hour wait for the patio - just really depends on a lot of factors...obviously busier at the weekend, and if there's a convention at Paris I think it gets especially busy.

    CSI experience for 1/2 price now available at Goldstar.

    http://www.goldstar.com/e/37475

    looks like dates to early September at the moment...and the $4.50 per ticket fee is a bit appaling...but I suppose it's still better than $30 full price...and still better than using the $5 off coupon.

    http://www.vegas4locals.com/couponcsitheexperience.html

    It's still too expensive for me based on the reviews I've read I think.
