Mayif anyone happens to run across any discounts for Donnie and Marie that are good until mid-late October - it would be appreciated if you would post or PM me...I am on the hunt now.
Also, mooky - it's funny that you had the sea bass at TOtW and enjoyed it - I thought it was pretty awful. It really must be down to inconsistency as I'm not a very picky person.

Only up until end of September at the moment, but it's been running for months so should be updated.
Have you managed to persuade OH to go with you or are you going alone?
Their show was on ITV3 I think it was last week which would have given you a good taster. Maybe you can catch up online on ITV Player.0 -

oh an can anyone recommend a Indian restaurant on the strip? wont be hiring a car so don't want to travel too far off strip!
thanks again
If you have your flight locator number you should be able to add your Executive Club number on the BA website. Failing that, hand over the number at check in and the miles should be added.0 -
AprilWell my flight nightmare continues....
After finding that prices in-direct have shot up in the last week (cookie trick did nothing btw), prices continue to rise.
I am now looking at £1120 minimum for a in-direct flight.
Edit: Sorry thats wrong. I can get a indirect flight from Manchester with US Airways for £1060/1100 depending on whether I want travelling time to be 17 hours either way, or 15 hours. (Stopping in Philadelphia)
Now, I know booking flights are a priority in terms of being as early as possible.
Direct from Heathrow is currently £ 1,151. I know I will have to add getting to London and back, but that for me is looking like the current best option.
Thats unless anyone can see prices dropping....... something which I doubt.
Also, the BA flight above, do you reckon the 1,151 price will rise after their apparent sale ends on the 20th?
If so, I better get my skates on.......
Further Edit:
There is also packages with Virgin around the £1900 mark for 9 nights in the MGM including flights to consider.
I quite fancied doing it all separately, though I cant rule out this option.
I also have to remember, both Manchester and Heathrow are my only real airport options.
Manchester is a 2 and a half hour drive away.
London is a £30 70 minute flight away.0 -
Aprildannodw, If I read your posts correctly, you are looking for flights for next April? If so I personally think it is a little early for best prices. Generally I have noticed prices are keenest around 3 months before. However if your dates are over any major holidays like easter then all bets are off.0

AprilThanks ferf. I was going by the menu on the restaurant.com site - on the dinner menu steaks are $50+, other entrees $40-$50 ish, plus $10 for side orders. On that link of yours the prices look a bit more reasonable so would maybe be ok just for the experience / view.
Edit: Can't link to the restaurant.com menu but the TOTW website has the same prices...http://www.topoftheworldlv.com/pdf/TOW_Menu_Dinner.pdf
Apologies for the misinformation. I think it's one of those places that gets such mixed reviews that you'll never know unless you try it yourself. And the view is really amazing - especially if you book for shortly before sunset.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Thanks Luci! And I think I have manage to persuade him to go with me - not because he actually wants to go, but still. That may be the show that duchy sent me a link to previously and I watched a little bit but didn't want to watch too much in advance.
And my apologies to Donny for mispelling his name, but will say right now that I am not sure I will ever get used to the Y instead of the IE and my apologies should be assumed to extend to any future use of the misspelling.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

okat this might help you a little to decide .
it would not be unusual to queue for a hour at Immigration in LV . we had 1H 20 mins wait at LAX once . but i would assume a even hour is what it you are looking at once you have got off the plane , answered all questions , and collected your bags . we were first in the queue for Immigration when we flew with BMI back in 2007 ( flight now discontinued) . 10 mins through immigration , and then had to wait for our bags . so 25 more mins before we were in a Taxi .
flight out always tends be about 10 hours + , because of headwinds ect. plus and hour at immigration = 11h 30m approx add in your flight to heathrow and your getting near to the 15 hours with US airways .
my point is that the wait in Philly on the way out is isn't just wasted time , it's time you have to spend waiting in Vegas as well .
i know it seems like a long time indirect , but it is do able .
i know the £1900 with Virgin seems tempting , and if you go for it don't look back and look at flight prices ect after you book and think " What if " look back and use it as research for your next trip and think " this is how i will do it next time " . This package might be your best bet , if it's a first trip and you are nervous . it's not worst price i have ever seen .Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

Yep April. Preferably the 11th to the 21st atm.okat this might help you a little to decide .

As much as the Virgin price is ok, I actually really fancied doing it all separately.
There is time to change my mind yet. (I also know for a fact if I booked that, I wouldn't be able to help myself checking for cheaper prices).
Think I will wait on the flights for now.
If they go up, they go up.
Hopefully there will be some great hotel deals nearer the time!
Thanks again all.0
