We're flying with AA from Manchester via Chicago to Vegas in September, and there isn't even any in seat entertainment on those flights.

But that's because of the type of plane - we always choose flights on a 777 with AA as they do have seat-back screens and the films loop every 20 mins or so...it's not that AA doesn't have seat-back IFE at all...just to clarify. :)

As for Virgin - we were OK with it...we would probably still be OK with it but it's waaaaay less comfortable than on AA...however, the other thing is that while the international flight on AA is great, the internal flight is on a much smaller plane and quite cramped, free soft drinks but no free food, certainly no free alcohol for those that rate that highly. So it's a trade-off and understandable that there are varying opinions.

if anyone happens to run across any discounts for Donnie and Marie that are good until mid-late October - it would be appreciated if you would post or PM me...I am on the hunt now.

Also, mooky - it's funny that you had the sea bass at TOtW and enjoyed it - I thought it was pretty awful. It really must be down to inconsistency as I'm not a very picky person. :)

It's been several years but we had dinner there one Thanksgiving - the view was stunning, the food was mediocre...we've had meals that were twice as good for less than half the price in Vegas.

Entrees aren't quite as expensive as you say though- http://www.menusearch.net/menus/718dinner.pdf but everything is a la carte.

It may be worth going for the experience and the view - and some people have had a decent meal there, so maybe the chefs are just inconsistent.

Thanks ferf. I was going by the menu on the restaurant.com site - on the dinner menu steaks are $50+, other entrees $40-$50 ish, plus $10 for side orders. On that link of yours the prices look a bit more reasonable so would maybe be ok just for the experience / view.

Edit: Can't link to the restaurant.com menu but the TOTW website has the same prices...http://www.topoftheworldlv.com/pdf/TOW_Menu_Dinner.pdf
