For those who've driven to the south rim, are there many petrol stations on the journey there? If not, how far apart are they roughly?

Also, can anyone recommend a decent eating place in seligman or peach springs?

There are plenty of petrol stations along the way. As for a place to eat in Seligman, the Snow Cap Diner is an experience unlike any other, though it depends on what you consider to be 'decent' as it's pretty basic food - burgers, etc...and it only has outside seating - but it's the place Gav mentions in his report with the cars from the movie Cars I think. And the loos are fun. My in-laws really loved it, they still talk about it. It's a bit of an odd place but if you go into it without many expectations it can be a fun place to stop and grab something quick and cheap.

I read it too-One complaint-by the time I got halfway through it -I was STARVING :rotfl:

Flamingo is interesting for upgrades-it seems you can very rarely upgrade from deluxe to Go (I want to say never but there's always an exception) without paying the upgrade but Go standard to view is pretty common even without asking (my average is 2 out of 3 stays upgraded and the one we weren't we didn't check in til about 10.30pm)

    Great trippie thanks

    I'm Gav's GF!

I love the Pretzel flips I remember years ago when they sold them over here for a very little time.

Just thought you would like to know that you can buy them here.....

    well worth it! ;)

Thanks for the site - have had a look around...these sort of things remind me why we bring back so much American food in our cases. £2.45 for a box of mac & cheese we can get for $0.50...:) Still, if I cannot get over the Flipz craving, desperate times and all that.

I knew I recognised Scoot City from somewhere, just checked and it came up as a deal on the Groupon site a while ago:

    http://www.groupon.com/las-vegas/deals/scoot-city

I've noticed a couple of these deals come up again if they've been on there once, so might be worth waiting to see if they do another offer - if so it's a pretty good saving on the full tour price.

    Trip Report!

So after our amazing trip, i have spent a fair chunk of time putting a trip report together. Hopefully anyone who reads it all enjoys it :D

A great report. I really enjoyed reading it start to finish. I didn't know there was a jelly bean statue of liberty in NYNY. I must go and see that - lol. Really liked all the little facts and stuff that I didn't know. Obviously, OH is sick of me talking over the football..... :rotfl:

Loved the look of those scooters too! Can you tell me the price of the trip and what sort of time you left and came back to Vegas at? Might look at this for a future trip too..... :-)
