as for the tunnel that was my next question as I'm abit confused on the subject. Does anyone know how much difference the tunnel makes? I've heard alot of people on here mention they always say no tunnel but also heard that no tunnel isnt always the quickest route depending on traffic flow and its abit of an 'urban myth' so to speak? Though whether its true or not I suppose it's best to say no!
there are shuttle buses , but after a long flight the small saving really isn't worth it IMO .

Tunnel much quicker ?? well not IMO . in rush hour maybe a bit , but i have done plenty of driving around Vegas , and the Strip never really jams up that bad . besides 1st time in Vegas , don't you want to go down the strip instead of round the back of it on a freeway .
Walking burning enough calories ? depends on what you eat i guess , but generally i would say you would a serious Gym session everyday to even begin balancing the books of Buffet eating .
congrats on your weight loss , but a week in Vegas won't reverse all of it . i would aim for healthy breakfasts and light lunches if you want to be good .
you will get a fair bit of walking in whatever , but do not fall in the trap of thinking the casino's are as far away as they look . you will only do it once, but trying to walk from Bellagio to MGM grand in the heat , thinking it isn't that far is the mistake we made first night .
The Deuce will be your cheapest mode of transport . would not try it with suitcases thoughBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

Congrats on your weightloss.I've been to Vegas before after losing a lot of weight, eaten anything I wanted after months of being really careful and come home having LOST 5lbs due to how much walking we do...so I wouldn't worry too much. You will find that you probably only eat 2 meals a day as portions are so big. I find the hardest part is getting home and getting back into the habit of not eating everything I want.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Congrats on your weightloss! As someone who'd also lost 2.5 stone when I went last year, I didn't put *that* much back on when I was in Vegas; only a few lbs at most. I was careful at times, and also found that being as tired as I was meant I couldn't eat much. We did walk an awful lot and tried to see everything in our 6 days.
This year may be different; I've almost got the final stone off and I fully expect to put half a stone or more on - but it is my 'honeymoon' (of sorts) :-)0 -
October , Novemberthis is probably a stupid question, but I can't figure it out on my own.
PH parking - I know that the self park is on the opposite side of the MM shops as the hotel/casino and so parking in the self park lot means a loooong walk to get to the casino (relative to other self parks). I can't figure out how you access PH's valet. We haven't parked there in years (since the one time we DID park at self-park and had to tromp through the shops for a million years) and I just can't figure out where the valet entrance would be since the strip frontage doesn't seem to have anywhere to enter (that I can recall anyway).
I think we're going to stay at PH for our first 5 or 6 nights and I'd just like to know where I'm going when we arrive. 'm used to going the back way to Paris/Bally's and think there's probably access to PH that way, but would like to know for sure.
Anyone?
I have used it, but it's been a while. Let me think on it and I'll get back to you. It must be fairly easy if I can do it.0 -

I think it is off Harmon (about 100 yards on left from the strip) and then there are seperate lanes for either self park or valet
If you go in to self park from there you can get parked very close to the casino0 -
October , Novemberphotome is right. If you drive Harmon to Audrie Lane there are two separate lanes for valet and self park. I remember it being straightforward to get to, but make sure you don't go to Miracle Mile valet parking. That is worse than self park.0

January , FebruaryI dont know if this is useful to anyone but I just received this from Groupon.
$50 for One Round of Golf and a Range Card, Plus Cart Rental, from Desert Pines Golf Club (Up to $129 Value)
The Scots developed golf to irk common loch pests, such as merats, locharoaches, and Nessie, who to this day rarely surfaces for fear of being beaned by a well-aimed ball. Brush up your monster-vexing skills with today's Groupon: for $50, you get one round of golf, plus use of a golf cart and a range card, at Desert Pines Golf Club (up to a $129 value).
One of Golf Digest's top-50 public courses in the U.S., Desert Pines packs in the cerebral shots and scents the air with 4,000 mature pine trees swaying in the breeze, only occasionally reaching out to snatch a foul ball out of the air. Take to the course for 18 holes of golf (up to $99 value, depending on date and time of game), traversing the terrain from a rented golf cart, included in this deal. Desert Pines' bent grass greens emulate those of the Augusta National Golf Club, and the large white-sand bunkers emulate those inside Space Emperor Klaxon's giant Hourglass of Doom. Four lakes dot the landscape and one vast desert sky caps it. Cool down after the game in the clubhouse, equipped with a full-service bar and sweeping views of the downtown strip, or take to the driving range with your range card ($30) for some extra hacking and hitting. The card is good for 400 balls; you can use as many of the 400 balls as you'd like over as many visits as you'd like.
Varied enough to challenge players of all abilities, Desert Pines reminds you why you got into golf in the first place-it's one of the few sports a person can successfully play for a lifetime, and it comes in handy for defending your home against renegade windmills. Load up on woods and irons and go for the greens of Desert Pines.
Not valid for group outings. Subject to blackout dates
All you have to do is visit the groupon website where you can purchase a voucher. I think it is Groupon.com and it should be under the Vegas deals.0 -
Junewell, yay then!! Every time I asked for a diet coke on Virgin and got that stupid tiny can of Virgin Diet Cola I winced - never remembered before it was too late. But do they serve full sized cans as they do on AA?
It's the little things that make me happy.
its the mini Pepsi cans I am afraid, and the lemonade mini can is now R Whites
congrats on getting a Garth ticket this time...you wont be dissappointed with the show...:)
the booking system seemed to work better this time by using Ticketmaster, rather than the virtual waiting room on the Wynn site as previous.0 -
