October , NovemberNot quite Vegas, but have you considered the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham ? Fantastic choice from dozens of shops (not chains) and very reasonable prices (was 3 years ago anyway).
We've just got back from there and would definately recommend it - think we spent about £60 on travelling there & back but my ring was £600, made exactly how I want it, compared to similar for £900 in Ernest Jones, Goldsmiths etc.0 -

October , NovemberWell,. my Vegas trip suddenly got a lot more interesting!!!
Although we're not yet engaged my bf and I have decided today to marry in Vegas in October!!!
(We've been together 5.5 yrs and live together so not as mad as it sounds!)
We've told our families who are behind us and we'll have abig party soon after we get back but we need help!!!
There will only be us two so we only need a short and sweet cheap and preferably as vegas-style cheesy as you can get ceremony!!! So suggestions there please! (Pref would like somewhere that will film it for us)
I know we need a license first, anyone know what information we need to take as a non-US resident and if the legalities of the ceremony automatically translate to UK or will we need to do anythign else when we get back?
Thanks guys!!!!! :rotfl:0 -
October , NovemberCongratulations on your upcoming wedding. There are several people on here who will have all the info you need.0

October , NovemberHi, october looks like its gonna be busy for weddings!! We are getting married on the 15th and i'm sure i saw another post for october too!
We were originally gonna get married at the little white chapel but in the end decided on the chapel of the flowers as it looked a bit better and they were really helpful with all the arrangements! We are the same as you just the 2 of us going
This site tells you all you need to know about the license - http://www.lasvegastourism.com/marriage1.htm
As for the legalities back here, as far as i have worked out it is all legal but if you want it registered in the uk so you can get copies of teh certificate then you need to send in a certified copy of the marrige certificate, have a look here - http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Governmentcitizensandrights/Registeringlifeevents/Marriagesandcivilpartnerships/DG_175716
I think you get a certified copy sent on after the chapel has registered it with the vegas authorities but you can order copies from them at any time in the future anyway!
Hope that helps and is correct, sure someone will advise if its not!!0 -
JuneHey Guys
Looking for some serious last minute tips. I'm in vegas just nowHave a great Grandview Suite at MGM. I'm looking for advice on the best place to watch the World Cup tomorrow. I had planned on ESPN Zone at NYNY but its been discontinued and is no longer open
There are a few other places in NYNY showing the World Cup and also Zuri Bar here in MGM but it doesn't look like the best place to watch. Does anyone have any south strip suggestions?
Thanks guys0 -

well why not head down to the Crown and Anchor . you will need a taxi (should be cheap enough from MGM) , but you get a great atmos for footie in there.
get there in reasonable time though , it will be jam packed for the England match .Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

congrats :beer::beer::beer:
Little white wedding chapel , will broadcast it over the Internet live , and you can have a video of it as well ( you cannot rip it off the internet though )
Short , Sweet , and Very Vegas . just like ours there in 2006 .
no need to even book , we just showed up and were married within the hour ( on a saturday afternoon as well) . it's bit like ordering off a set menu for what bits you want and don't want . we got a free limo back to our hotel thrown in .
all you need is your Passports to get a licence . any Taxi driver will know where it is ( Downtown a few blocks from the Golden Nugget ). once you have the Licence you are free to marry anywhere within the State of Nevada .Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
