    Thanks Gav!
Great trip report - enjoyed reading about your adventures. The scoot thing looks interesting and something I had never heard before.
Really pleased you enjoyed your first trip to Vegas. Your summary is EXACTLY how I feel about Vegas - best place in the world.

    Roll on your next trip!!
Hope the holiday blues dont linger too long....

    Steff;)

Really great trip report Gav. It took a while to read but all the details in there were well worth it - thanks for taking the time to write all that down!

Thanks for sharing that, Gav...really enjoyed reading through it and about 10 times I thought 'we do/think/love that too!'

And your girlfriend appreciating Pretzel Flipz made me very happy...I cannot even get my husband to try them as he thinks the sweet/savory thing is fundamentally wrong. Now I am desperately craving dark chocolate Flipz which is a bit unfortunate. ;)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    Thanks guys! :)
Week was pretty much flawless in most regards. No luggage or airline issues, upgraded room, no problems with queues, coupons, trips etc and great weather.

Looking forward to soaking up more info from here and going again!

    I'm Gav's GF!

I love the Pretzel flips I remember years ago when they sold them over here for a very little time.

Just thought you would like to know that you can buy them here.....

Gav, Thanks very much for your report. We were there at the same time as you and probably in Bill's at the same time too. You certainly got around in your week. We were there for 6 and just took it easy most of the time. Agree that the ACE bus is good, but it does get a bit busy from time to time.

We were staying at Excalibur and I agree about some of the public areas being grubby. (:rotfl:It is supposed to be a mediaeval castle after all.:rotfl:) Our room was cleaned very well every day though, and we can't fault the housekeeping at all. I think we'll be further up the strip or even at Orleans or Rio next trip though. I just felt a little isolated down there.

For those who've driven to the south rim, are there many petrol stations on the journey there? If not, how far apart are they roughly?

Also, can anyone recommend a decent eating place in seligman or peach springs?

Secondly, do any of the buffets do American type food? Burgers / Chips / BBQ Wings etc? We only tried MGM and they didn't do that kind of stuff.

    Thanks
