Aprilin case anyone's looking for AA flights - they seem to have dropped quite a lot at least for the dates we're looking at...and routing through ORD which until now had seemed to be really expensive for some reason...now we're almost back to the prices we were seeing early April...and the exact flights that are our ideal flights (not the ones we thought we would settle for) and fare class W even...which confuses me to no end as the more expensive options we've been looking at have been in the deep discount fare classes. Fares we're seeing right now are £100+ less than they were a couple of days ago (and that's £100+ off the crap times and crap connections).Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

MayI was tracking AA flights and thought I was going to have to settle for carp return flights that left LAS at either 07.05 or 08.10 to get the lowest fares. They didn't offer the combination of outward and inward flights I wanted.
Watched them for a couple of days, then they went up £110pp. However when I checked them again on day 3, they had the combination I wanted at the fare I wanted so booked them.
I've been tracking them on Kayak and I thought the sale had finished yesterday as they jumped £110 again, but came back down today.
The BA flights have been constantly £803pp for a few weeks, but jumped today to £824.
What's the benefit of W class as that's what we have?0 -
hi guys
havent been on in ages, hope evryone is doing ok. congrats to trets for your baby news quite a few pages back.
so have finally got the money together to book my holiday to vegas woooohoooo - planning to book it tommorrow morning!!! the prices have gone up for flights since i first looked but oh well. am going direct with virgin costing £800 each (ouch!) gonna go for 9 days we think as its only about £15 more to stay two extra days including hotels and flights so why not?!
thing is im gonna book with monte carlo as they have the best deals but im still unsure its what we're looking for. we are going to get married and its gonna be our honeymoon as well so want it all to be nice but not sure if the monte carlo is a honeymoon kinda room. thing is we dont have alot of money in the budget left for rooms - about £500 for 9 nights (monte carlo is £459) so does anyone know of anywhere better for similar money? hoping for 27th aug-5th sept
dont mind staying in two different hotels if that helps.
ive been trawling through all the deals everyone (mainly luci - thanks again) has been posting and dont think i'll find better. also hoping the $20 trick works for an upgrade but its always possible it wont so dont wanna get my hopes up
sorry if i waffled there
any help will be gratefully recieved!!
thanks

It was partly because you had mentioned that you had seen a lot of swings on AA that I went back to check, and partly because I wanted to price up flights if we did manage to get Garth tickets and shifted our dates by one day...so thanks for putting it in my head to keep checking. Problem now is that if we DON'T get Garth tickets our original dates (same price) are better for us...and tickets don't go on sale until Saturday...so we either book the dates that would let us see Garth if we got tickets and arrive home on Sunday and go to work on Monday (which we never do)...or wait until Saturday and see how things go with Garth, and if we don't get tickets go back to our original dates...by which time fares may have gone back up. It's gotten complicated.
W class fares would earn 1 q-point per mile (rather than .5 q-points per mile for the deep discount economy fare classes) so for those wanting to do the platinum challenge it could probably be done in one return trip from the UK to Vegas. I'm not sure if you earn more miles on those fares or not.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Green used to make a few howlers like that when he was at Norwich.
Lifted these comments from the currency thread posted by someone else watching in the states and agrees with you about them knowing nothing
"Your goaltender should have made that play"
"Your offense has been disappointing"
"What are those white flags with a red cross on them?"
"Wow, we tied. That's awesome"
I'm on a one man mission to remove the word "tie" from any sporting result!!
Well, it's 4 days and I'll be in the air from Indy to Vegas! Bring it on!!0 -
MayIn less then 12 hours I finally get to go back to Vegas. Can I please officially say thank you for all your help and advice - a true modern day co-operative! If my in laws can manage with our 2 year old twins and our 4 year old daughter, if we can get to the airport on time and the biggest one - IF we can remember how to relax, it promises to be a great trip!
Without you all we certainly would have spent about £300 more just in the basics - so you truly have been a money saving help!
In the meantime - if anyone works at Manchester airport and wants to get us an upgrade in the morning - just let me know!!!;)
