    1. Cirque du Soleil - which of the shows would you most recommend for some who has never seen a Cirque show before? I'm thinking Mystere?

Mystere is sort of entry-level Cirque and I think in general is the one that overall (not necessarily on this board, but in the wider world) is the one that gets recommended the most people...some people like Trets are annoyed by the clown/baby to the point of distraction...I found the baby mildly amusing during parts and quite annoying during others (we've seen it twice and one baby was WAY more annoying than the other)...but I think it's a good show overall, but not the most wow-factor. Love was definately our favorite, probably O 2nd but O was our first Cirque show and it's been years, then probably Ka and then Mystere. But Cirque is very much down to personal taste - what one person really loves another hates.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Did you "enjoy" watching the footie, do you have any excuses for your teams keeper?

Do you think he will start on fri, FWIW I think Hart should be given a chance

I've just changed my hotel bookings and am now having a couple of nights at Caesars in the Forum Tower before moving to the Flamingo (Yes i know it's the wrong way round :) )
I'll be trying the $20 trick for an upgrade but has anyone stayed in that particular tower ?
Don't often see comp rates at Caesars so had to do it :D

The room at Mandalay Bay was a 750GR Suite, and was very nice indeed!

It was interesting watching the game amongst american fans. In general (and I dont want to appear rude, but i know I am) they know absolutely naff all about the game and it was really quite embarrassing listening to some of the comments from them. One or two did seem to understand the game so had a decent chat with them during the game about it.

As for Green, cant deny that he made a massive error in probably the biggest game of his career to date. But, that doesnt make him a bad keeper. Personally before the tournament started I would have gone for James in goal. I wouldnt pick Hart as he hasnt the experience, and would have only gone with him in the 3rd group game had we won our opening 2 and were safely through. As for the Algeria game I dont what Capello will do but wouldnt be surprised if he stuck with Green.

BTW Stoneman - noticed you were thinking of cruising - are you aware you can get comp cruise deals with NCL based on your Harrahs activity?

Thankyou, I'll take alook at KA and the canyon tours website

Whatever you do, DO NOT see Zumanity. Even if they pay you to go. A waste of two hours of your life.

Totally agree with Froggitt. I would not go to watch this again even if I was given free vip tickets. Frankly its rubbish. And that's coming froma big cirque fan. O would be my choice. Followed by mystere and then Ka. I didn't enjoy love either.

Green used to make a few howlers like that when he was at Norwich.

Lifted these comments from the currency thread posted by someone else watching in the states and agrees with you about them knowing nothing

"Your goaltender should have made that play"
    "Your offense has been disappointing"
"What are those white flags with a red cross on them?"
    "Wow, we tied. That's awesome"

In less then 12 hours I finally get to go back to Vegas. Can I please officially say thank you for all your help and advice - a true modern day co-operative! If my in laws can manage with our 2 year old twins and our 4 year old daughter, if we can get to the airport on time and the biggest one - IF we can remember how to relax, it promises to be a great trip!

Without you all we certainly would have spent about £300 more just in the basics - so you truly have been a money saving help!

In the meantime - if anyone works at Manchester airport and wants to get us an upgrade in the morning - just let me know!!!;)

    Chanty x
