    Thanks. They are moving the last night because its a friday and the prices jump $100. They aren't looking at 'luxury' hotels because they don't plan on being in much!

    that's fair enough - if they aren't looking for luxury I think that Exacalibur will be fine...somewhere like Imperial Palace would be more centrally located but from what I've seen (have never stayed at IP myself) the rooms at Excalibur are nicer and the location isn't terrible as there's quite a lot right around there. For not a great deal more money they could stay somewhere more mid-range is really all I meant by asking if they were on a budget...but I get not bothering to spend much on the room as they won't be in it much.
    Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    Hiya,

    My parents are off to Vegas for the 1st time in August. They are thinking of the Excaliber for the first 4 nights and then stratasphere for the last night before they fly to New York for few days! Is the Excaliber good? Also the Stratasphere says it includes unlimited tower admission, has anyone used this?

    Thanks.
    I suggest maybe the last night they stay around downtown (Fremont Street) to experience the other LV

    Evening all!
    Just wondering if I could please gain from your expertise - does anyone have any recommendations for what room to ask for at Encore? Is there a particular floor or view? Any experience appreciated.

    Thank you!:beer::beer::beer:

    I would ask for a south facing room on a high floor. If you are lucky you will get one at the end with a good strip view.

    We had 3022 on the 30th floor and it had a great view and we didn't hear any noise from the nightclub.

    August is really too hot to walk far -the heat is really punishing so I would suggest they forget the Strat and stick to something more mid-strip. August is low season so prices will likely drop a bit -In their situation as out and about people I'd consider the Imperial Palace on current prices. Book it direct and if a better offer comes up later on they can cancel at no charge booking direct.
