October , NovemberHas anyone successfully booked a flight through the AA sale online?
I've been trying to book Manchester/San Diego, Las Vegas/Manchester for £478pp for October for the past 4 days and have got through to 'Finish' only to have a system error, try again later, come up. I must have tried 50 times altogether. I've just rang bookings (for 5p a minute and a £15 booking fee) and been quoted £677 each as the cheapest fare
I've booked loads of times before with them without a problem, although in the last sale I had similar problems and ended up missing a £445 fare, what am I doing wrong!

We're booked with AA for our June/July trip to Chicago and are looking to book with AA in October as well...sure, there's a risk, but we really like AA and are willing to take the risk. Having done the platinum challenge and all, it's nice to feel a bit special (and oh how we love the free 2nd bag and the fact that our bags really do come off first).
I personally find it bizarre that EU carriers are responsible for passenger's costs if they get stuck...it would never have occurred to me had it not been for this whole ash situation - so I suppose I kind of think of it as something I would never have considered before.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Has anyone stayed in the Planet Hollywood hotel - the fountain facing rooms? Looking at booking this in August as the rooms look good and the girlfriend is mad for a fountain facing room!0
-
MayYes, several times. You get a great view of the fountains, but you can barely hear the music.
The rooms are really modern as they were just refurbished in the past couple of years. The only downside is that there is very little storage space, ie one small wardrobe and 3 small drawers. Not really enough for anyone staying more than a couple of night.
Good hotel though.0 -
Thanks Luci.

Here's some piccies from when we were there (from here:

I know a few others on here who've stayed there think it's small, but for the price we got it at (admittedly it was $20 tip stuff), it was absolutely fantastic!... not forgetting it just takes a few minutes to get on the strip and you're in a great location

October , NovemberHi Clarrisa
Do you have to go via san diego, on the aa website I can find MAN to ORD (Chicargo) - LAS and then LAS to MAN via ORD again for your dates for £477 per person
But if you must go via san diego im afirad the price is about tight £655.49 as its not firect and invoices several changes
Man - Ord - Ord DFW - DFW - SAN - SAN - LAX - LAX - LAS
which is why its way more expensive, hope thats helps
