Hey guys
I wondered if you can help, I am going to Vegas half way through a roadtrip in September (13th to 16th). We currently have a Suite booked in Bills, but I know we are paying over the odds, so I'm looking to cancel that and find something better value.
I am going away with a male friend (no romantical goings on!!) im am going to be 26 and he is 27 so we are looking to be right in the middle of the action. The Suite in Bills only had 1 bed, so ideally want to be able to have 2 beds and were looking to spend upto about £300.
Can anyone give us some help to get the most for our money :T
Thank you!!

rooms with 2 beds are fairly common . Bill's is a good location and people often like staying .
£300 for 2 nights should get something reasonable as you will be staying week nights .( good idea for money saving )
you should also consider Ballys, Flamingo , Mirage , PH , Paris , TI, and Ceasars (NOT a classic room though) if you want to be centre strip . Bellagio and Venetian might be too expensive .
start by checking out the links for hotel booking in Post 1 of this thread . The Fatwallet thread is a good start

Perhaps Pebbles would be best to advise as she is at the Excalibur at the moment.
IMO there is not a huge difference between them. The Excalibur might be slightly better, the IP is in a better location.
The Excalibur has a resort fee of $9.95, the IP has no resort fee.
Whether the $20 trick will work all depends on who you get on the day and how busy they are.
If you are going for the IP, make sure you go for a deluxe room and not one of the Capri rooms out the back. Last I heard there was only one floor which still had standard rooms, floor 3.0 -
I have found a deal at the Bellagio that falls into budget, I know the $20 trick my get us a fountain facing room there, but do you think they do anything nice as it will be my birthday the day we arrive. Has anyone had experience of a bit of birthday blagging??

SeptemberHey All
Looking for abit of advice.
I've got a booking with TI for ten nights from 30th August.
The booking came in at $1,226.72 (including tax, minus Resort fee) for a Strip view room.
However looking to day they have a 99 Hour Sale on and the price for our dates in the same room is $940.46 (including tax, minus Resort fee). The sale finishes 3rd June.
Thats a bit of difference.
I emailed TI to ask if its possible to cancel and rebook, but it was sort of a knee jerk reaction to seeing the price difference.
What I was wondering is should I make a new booking at the lower rate and then cancel the old booking?
Unfortunately I don't have the time to phone up TI before the Sale finishes to see about changing the booking and I'm worried incase my email is lost in a sea of other query's.
Any help would be welcome

xxxgemxxx - not sure you'll get anywhere with blagging anything as so many people go there for weddings / honeymoons / anniversarys / birthdays / hen partys / stag partys etc etc - a smile and a bit of politeness may scrape you a lakeview but doubt you'll get much more. We have had a free upgrade to a lakeview before without the $20 tip so you never know - depends who serves you and the mood they're in as much as anything. Only place i have ever blagged anything is TI and i didn't even ask (she just said "why are you here", i said it was the missus' 21st birthday and we got a free bottle of champagne) - that was 4 yrs ago though!
muzzer_mc - emails are always hit and miss, when I have sent any sort of booking related email, they've usually asked me to phone anyways (if it's an alteration... understandably) - but i have successfully phoned previously and rebooked at the lower rate, however they may just recommend you cancel and rebook anyways - it's the only way to be sure it happens within the timeframe so i'd just do that0 -

You need to phone and ask them to adjust the prices as long as you didnt book a non cancellable rate.
It will take you a couple of minutes and cost you a few pence using the international callchecker0 -

mmmm I wonder how many times they have heard that, having said that I will be trying the same thing when I arrive at the Wynn in Aug for my 50th along with my $20 of course.
Have you checked out the $20 trick sites for success rates

Did you see the Excalibur deal I posted via smartervegas, that may aork out cheaper than your current rate.
Out of the 2 I would prob stay at IP purely because of location BUT for a few dollars more you can do much better than either0
